If you have been thinking of getting your credit report to see where you are know that there is only ONE true FREE site to go to get it. That site is annualcreditreport.com . Here you can find out your credit info once a year for FREE.There are many other sites out there that are claiming a free credit report if you only "Try" there monthly service...Now if you are paying for that Service it doesn't quite seem like it was FREE!
The FTC seems to agree...they came down on one company that was offering those "Free" reports...
It is good to check out your credit report at least once a year! Make sure it is right...you would be suprised how many have something on them that they either don't remember or something that should NOT be on there!
It is frustrating to get to the lender for your home loan and find out that, that this bill, or that bill that you paid off is showing late or delinquent etc! Not only does this cost you time...you may miss out on the home of your dreams because you can't get the loan UNTIL this is cleared up!!
To be forewarned is to be prepared and heading in the right direction!
