Is Palin just a Parrot? - THIS MUST BE SEEN - The Katie Couric Interview

By
Real Estate Agent with COMPASS DRE# 01339266

"I'll try to find some and bring 'em to ya ..."

That was Sarah Palin's reply when Katie Couric asked her for definitive examples to show that McCain has been "the maverick" and been "leading the charge" to push for more oversight and regulation of the financial industry.

Sarah Palin's performance confirmed that she is way out of depth during her interview with Catie Kouric. McCain's campaign has obviously realized this and now they're scrambling to deal with her total unsuitability for the position as his running mate. Notice how she simply repeats the "talking points" and "script" that she's been prompted to repeat ... much like a parrot.

Watch the interview and make your own conclusions.

Well, at least she doesn't need a tele-prompter to be able to speak.  :)

Stewart you are an angry angry man with nothing positive to say. I expect you to not approve of Sarah but your constant insults are starting to belittle you. And as I blogged about along time ago as for McCain wether you back him or not this country owes him a debt of gratitude and he deserves respect.

I am angry that McCain nominated Sarah Palin simply beecasue she is a woman. McCain has my respect for what he did in the past - but his current actions certainly do not have my respect.

As for Palin, I'm simply showing her for what she is ... a small-minded conservative puppet.

WAKE UP .... TAKE NOTE OF WHAT'S HAPPENING ... SEE THE REPUBLICAN SPIN MACHINE FOR WHAT IT IS .... !!!

Stewart, I read ALL your posts and I believe you to be a man of compassion and honor and very well spoken. I know how frustrating it is to deal with some of the people on this site.

 Keep up the great work.

If they win this election it will be a sad day for America because the next four years will be down hill all the way. And it will give us NO comfort to say "we told you so".

Frankly I agree with Linda - I find you educated and well versed.......and I certainly did not find your comments disrespectful.....How many American's have served their country......how many have been prisoners of war?  Do you owe them all the Presidency?  Explain this to me please?

"I personally believe the U.S. Americans are unable to do so because, uh, some, uh...people out there in our nation don't have maps, and, uh, I believe that our education like such as South Africa and, uh, the Iraq everywhere like, such as and...I believe that they should, our education over here in the U.S. should help the U.S., err, uh, should help South Africa and should help the Iraq and the Asian countries, so we will be able to build up our future for our...

While I agree with some of the comments here, I find it appalling that Mr. Obama is not scrutinized just as intensely.

I find it even more appalling that our so called "free" press continuously ignores some very troubling things about Mr. Obama; who by the way stammers and struggles without a teleprompter also.  Some of my family have been to an Obama rally, the words "painful and disappointing" were terms used to describe his performance.

I for one do not want a man, whose economic advisers ran Lehman, Fannie and Freddie into the ground,  as my president.  A fact that has been conveniently ignored by our "free" press.

I also find it even more curious that Ms. Palin, like her or not, has been viciously attacked on a personal level the likes of which are disgusting.  There is plenty of legitimate policy fodder to use, why the disrespectful personal crap?

As some one above put it, we're screwed either way.

Love a good political debate...Cheers Stewart

Stewart - I like parrots, please don't equate them to Palin!  BTW, beautiful blue & gold you put up there.

Ana - If you think Obama isn't being scrutinized, you just might not be looking/listening hard enough.  Despite what anyone says, I don't think any of the candidates have gotten a free ride.

Stewart-I was watching CNN this morning. They showed the Saturday Night Live parody of the Palin interview and her answer about the bailout which was pretty funny. The next clip was downright scary because it was the real interview. The SNL satire had used her real answer verbatim. I am a little surprised at Hugh calling you angry when his comment on the debate was that McCain "should have punched that moron". By "that moron" I think Hugh was referring to Harvard graduate Barack Obama.

COURIC: Why isn’t it better, Governor Palin, to spend $700 billion helping middle-class families struggling with health care, housing, gas and groceries? … Instead of helping these big financial institutions that played a role in creating this mess? PALIN: Ultimately, what the bailout does is help those who are concerned about the health care reform that is needed to help shore up the economy– Oh, it’s got to be about job creation too. So health care reform and reducing taxes and reining in spending has got to accompany tax reductions.

Is Palin running against Obama? How about giving equal time to Obama? Simply go to youtube and find videos like these:

Obama can't talk without reading a script

Obama has visited 57 states

Obama said in 2004 he would need experience before he runs for president in 2008

I am a junkie when it comes to politics lol, I have been listening and paying attention plenty,  I guess we will have to respectfully disagree on this one.  That's what it's all about!

I agree with Pacita, who's running for President here?  Once Palin mania or Palin derangement cools off, maybe we can get back to it.

What is really both sad and scary is that Palin will perform well tonight because she is in Republican Boot camp this week and will come out on stage as A PARROT for the party. NOT because she KNOWS anything or has cared in the past 10 years to be concerned in the least with the Lower 48!!!!!! Alaska and Palin - Palin and Alaska RAH RAH RAH!!!! What has that got to do with being VP of the entire U.S?????? At least Biden has been in the lower 48 and to several other countries and watches and reads the news that affects our country!!!!

Linda - Biden has held his passport for more than 2 years .... unlike Palin who only wanted a Passport so she could fly to Iraq for a photo opp.

What on earth does she know about anything outside Wasilla, Alaska?

It ALL goes back to the Real Issue that Palin was NEVER picked because she was the BEST person for VP. She Was picked to win Hillary votes and Christian votes PERIOD. NOTHING TO TO WITH POLICY ISSUES. SHE IS A POLITICAL PARROT PERIOD!!!!! No one disputes she is a good wife, mother and Christian. That does NOT qualify her to run this country.

seatllepi.com ran an article today that said Palin is "a chatty sportscaster who lacks the guile to conceal her vacuity."

Vacuity: "total absence of matter" ... "an empty space" ... "total lack of ideas" ... "the quality or fact of being devoid of something specified".

Sound like anyone on the McCain ticket?
