Another Craig's List Alert

One of our agents sent me this article early this morning about a incident involving a Craigs List posting.

Evidently, someone placed a fake ad inviting anyone to take anything from a house in Tacoma, Washington.

The end result is that the house was stripped over everything, including fixtures, wood trim and even the kitchen sink.

I hate to think we have to start checking Craigs List daily for scams.

It seems we have to be careful no matter what we do these days. It seems there is always someone out there ready to ruin a good thing for others.

Guess you do need to watch out who you call friends and watch your back even with family

You will see more of this as online adverstsing continues to spread. It's almost impossible for an online site to verify whether an ad like this is true or not

This is the second post today I read about a "craig's list posting". The poor homeowner. Can't believe the police are unable to do anything about this.

It seems with the availability of more and more "free" places to post "homes for sale" without any type of controls, we can expect to see more abuse and down right fraud.

I saw it on the news last night. It made me sick to see the vandalism. Immediatly it made me wonder even more about pranksters using something like the newest innovations from Zillow for their mischief against someone randomly or a neighbor they don't like or a real estate company they want to get back at.

I saw this on my local news too. And the worst part of it is that the homeowner now thinks it might have been a family member! Yikes!

Unfortunately, I think that this might not be the last time we hear about something like this. It was too easy to do and the damage was done in one day.
