If I Were A RE/MAX Agent...

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with Zillow

I just finished attending the first day of Real Trend's Marketing and Technology conference.  I have pages of notes that I hope I can find the time to turn into blog posts, but wanted to get a quick hit up before heading back to the meeting.

I just finished listening to Kristi Graning, SVP of IT and eBusiness for RE/MAX.  She is a huge asset to RE/MAX.

If I were a RE/MAX agent, I would make sure I could easily ramble off the following stats to my clients:

- Remax.com has over 4.7 million listings on the site, some of which are updated up to 8 times a day

- Because of this rich content, the website is the number one visited brokerage site in the US.  It generated 56,000,000 million visits in 2007.

- Collectively as a brand (this includes the agent level to the national level to the international field) ONE BILLION dollars (yes, that is with a B) are spent annually promoting the RE/MAX brand.

I know most of those statistics.  I have been a RE/MAX Agent for almost 20 years and would not change to go anywhere else.  The RE/MAX Balloon is one of the top 10 most recognized brands in the world.   Thanks for the plug!

Sara the reality and sad truth is that Femax is losing agents on a daily basis because of their high desk monthly fees and their agents losing money! even though most agents wont tell you that!

That is one of the major reasons I am in RE/MAX and have returned to RE/MAX after a brief visit to another company.  RE/MAX really...as a source of knoweldge, national and Internet networking is what brought my real estate to the level I am at now.  They are incredible.

(((sigh))) our office closed last year. I am now with KW and it is a great company but they don't have the web presense of RE/MAX. The new  forclosure search is awesome.

I moved to RE/MAX from another broker and I love it and have done just as much business as before, if not more when you consider the slowing market.  The desk costs are just a little bit more, but seem well worth it.  I'm quite happy with my decision to move. Thenk you for the stats.

I have been with RE/MAX for eight years and find it light years ahead of the competition in the tools and and resources it give us to differentiate ourselves in the market and to use to provide the highest level of service to our clients.

Yep and LeadStreet rocks!

RE/MAX will spend the same amount in advertising that FORD will this year.  The advertising and web presence were the primary factors in my leaving Keller Williams (after 4 years, I guess I just didn't get the "culture").

Nice to hear some feedback on ReMAx.  I am seriously considering heading that way at the end of the year.  Can't seem to pull the trigger yet due to the desk fee in a slow market.

I am a RE/MAX agent, and I know those facts.  RE/MAX agents tend to make more because we have to sink or swim.  Also we tend to have a much better commission agreement worked out with our brokers.

I jumped out of the balloon over a year ago to start my own brokerage and still "work those stats" when I tell my sellers that their home will appear on Remax.com.

I heart IDX!
