Pam, LOVE the photographs. Such clarity, great lighting and composition. Did you take these? What kind of camera? Also, you have fall leaves, sigh! I live in the land of seemingly perpetual summer. The leaves are never off all the trees and it can be 80 degrees any day of the year. I shouldn't complain, but I miss fall!

I have been following the examples of AR's like you and trying to make better quality posts and trying to make sure they work for the group, neighborhood, etc, I am trying to reach. I am also making an effort to say thank you to all of you that take your time to comment by reciprocating and "Paying it forward." I have gained a great deal of valuable tips and information by doing this. Your compliment means allot to me.
Yes, the photos are mine. I take them. I have absolutely no photographic experience, I just try my best to get a good shot. Sometimes I will take 100+ photos and only use 20+/-. The camera I use is nothing special, it is ... I'm looking for it.... Oh, here it is... It is a Sony 5.1 megapixels, 12X Optical Zoom ... now I need glasses for the fine print ... found them ... .. Sony DSC-H1. See, told ya.. nothing special! I do make an effort to take photos during an overcast or just before sunset so the light and shadows are better. Sometimes I have to settle for "straight up noon" for interior shots. I've learned the hard way that water shots have to be during an overcast or sunrise/sunset, or the glare off the water ruins the photos. I know a professional photographer has the capabilities to counter act these situations, but where we are.. it can be really hard to get a photographer to the properties unless they are right in town.
I've never heard of the ARchie awards. I'll have to look them up. Another great AR learning experience! Thank you.
