Onslow County NC Before & After School Care

One of the most stressful and difficult issues working parents deal with is child care.

It is expensive, transporting children after school can be a Queens Creek Elementary School Hubert NC problem and finding satisfactory child care in the Jacksonville NC area is sometimes difficult especially for military families relocating to Camp LeJeune Marine base unfamiliar with the area.

Onslow County School system offers "Before School" and "After School Care" at selected locations throughout the county to assist working parents with child care before and after school.

Before School Care is available at a cost of $7.50/week/child for parents who need to drop off their children before school opens.
The sites opens at 7 AM

Morton Elementary
Queens Creek Elementary
Swansboro Elementary
Sandridge Elementary
Summersill Elementary

After School Care is available at six (6) locations and begins after school and ends at 6 PM. It is available only on the days school is in session.

Snacks, homework time and hands on activities are provided.

Costs -
Registration $35/child
$30/week for first child
$25/week for second child
$20/week for additional children

Can't believe how cheap and affordable it is to get that day care.

On Fort Myers Beach, we have a similar situation, with after day care provided for students at Bay Oaks Elementary School at a nominal fee. It's great to live in a town that cares and caters to the residents.

WOW, those look like very affordable pricing structures.

Cynthia, What an excellent thing to let parents know....I am impressed with your area and the low cost they have for childcare there. When my children were young they had to say in after care 1 1/2 hurs...it was $75 per week per CHILD. The prices you listed are wonderful.

It is a marvelous service and one that is very important and needed for working parents (and who doesn't?).

Cynthia: Before and after school child care is important for dual military families. People moving to the Camp LeJeune area should find this very informative and help them plan for their relocation. Buyers in the Onslow County area might even use this information in determing where they will purchase.

Mysery solved! I always wondered why people from your area come here and add an "S" to the name of the local city "Queen Creek". I see they must be thinking of the school.

There is the creek -- Queen's Creek, the school Queen's Creek Elementary School, the road - Queen's Creek Road, the subdivision- Kingsbridge on Queen's Creek...so it could be any of the above. :-)
