BETTER THAN BOTOX! A real estate face lift...

By
Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker Wright Realty

What Botox does to help your looks, the following tips can do for your business!

(disclaimer: I used this picture from pethumor.com, could not find permission info nor how to get it)

LIFT:

Your clients will appreciate the lift that the following actions will bring to them:

•1.        Send copies of advertisement that is done on their behalf on a monthly basis.

•2.       Contact them via email or postcard with information that they may find useful such as the latest news on their condominium complex.

•3.       Mail or drop off inexpensive coupons or certificates for local ice cream shops or specialty stores---the gift does not have to be expensive for your client to get that you appreciate them and are thinking of them!

FIRM UP:

Your buyer base by informing your prospective first time buyers through the use of a small classified ad of the new housing bill that could allow them as much as $7,500 in their pocket.

Sample ad:

A $7,500 tax credit is now available for any qualified purchase between April 8, 2008 and June 30, 2009, as part of the Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008. Call ---- for more details.

TIGHTEN:

You can tighten your business practices by getting a designation that signifies you as the area expert in:

•1.      Eco-dynamics by getting your "Green Designation"

•2.     Senior superiority is ensured if you display your "Senior Designation"

•3.     Vacation hounds will forever love you if you have your "Resort and vacation" designation.

•4.     Going global? Look at getting the CIPS - Certified International Property Specialist designation.

For more information on these (and more) designations go to: www.realtor.org/education/realtor_univerity/designation

BRIGHTEN:

Brighten your business prospects by being the "go-to" person in a particular location or subdivision.

This can be done through the use of "informational seminars" or neighborhood newsletters.

I write a quarterly newsletter entitled "Rosie Times" where I inform people of area home sales for the past quarter, and seasonal tips regarding home or yard maintenance.  On the back page, I have my dog, Muffin with her favorite recipe, and the quote: " To be added to our mailing list, call Muffin!"

You'd be amazed how many want to be on "Muffin's List".

REDUCE WRINKLES:

Troublesome wrinkles are reduced when you (and your agents) know the laws of your state.

Check out the  Real Estate Commission website for a summary of laws.  Review frequently asked

questions because they cover the most common infractions to the rules.  You'll have to decide those

topics that are most vital in your area.  In our locale, agency disclosure, dual agency, designated agency

and non-agency are all hot topics!

Thank you everyone for enjoying my blog...I usually like to send individual emails but am too pressed this weekend...we're trying to finish painting our home so the carpets and hardwood can go in next week.

And to answer your question Monika, we are currently living in the motorhome so camping has lost some of its spark for us.  After we move into the house, the next time we plan to do anything will be to go to California again this winter for two months...we travel the southern route through Alabama, Miss, Texas, Arizona, etc.

Thanks again for your support!!!!! i appreciate all your comments.

Hi Rose - I loved the "Call Muffin" idea and may use that with "Call Pepper" (a shih tzu). Great tips.  I'm glad you posted general response - that way we all get an update!

Great ideas, Rose.  I especially like the ad idea for current news to help homebuyers.  Very inexpensive here, and powerful.

Hi Rose do you have a RE program for firming the Abs? We can kill two birds with one stone! Now all we have to do is set it to music and firm up the abs, our minds and our RE practice!
