I first saw a comment on this from a former federal judge on one of the news casts last evening.  If it is unconstitutional what are we doing?  The way I underatand it is that it is under the law 'AS LONG AS' all have the same privileges as the other.  In other words, if one company is bailed out or given money, then every struggling company in American is given the same right.

Now, that said, and IF this is the case - we are in for a world of hurt should every struggling company, every person with a mortage, every person with tremendous amounts of credit debt places their hand out.  Certainly if this were the case, we would not even be speaking of bailouts right?

What a mess some very brilliant (but greedy and sometimes corrupt) people have placed this country in.

Like many Americans out there, I do not agree with this bailout, nor do I feel that I should pay for another person's gambling problem which is what alot of this boils down to in my opinion.  Certainly there are some innocent people who are affected by this mess.  But how do you pick and choose?  Are their stipulations to say that mortage A will be assisted, but mortage B will not?

In the end, I do not believe that any of us will have a say in what happens.  We can only hope and pray that what our elected leaders choose to do will not impact us and our children for many years to come.

Regards

Roosevelt shut down 30,000 banks on March 6, 1933. It's seventy-five years later The number of operating banks in America were replenished. But now, it's happening all over again. But who can stop the tide? The regime can shut them down and then reopen them under their conditions.

The problem in Washington is politicians, and when we send more politicans to correct the problem we're only pouring gasoline on a fire. The first thing we need is term limits. We don't need career politicians; they soon forget who they represent.

Tim and Pam,

Using that same argument, everyone would have to get basically equal representation from their Congressmen, and that clearly isn't the case.

Hi Tim and Pam . .  You know,  our country's leaders will HOPEFULLY come together today on this crisis issue. ...Both Republicans and Democrats agree this is ONE NATION, UNDER GOD. A crisis like this will get us all to come together for the good of the country. This will be produced by the entire government...I pray every day that our country will prevail over this difficult time...and I also pray for our Leaders that they will unify in their efforts toward these objectives.
