13 Comments on Professional Organizer can help you sell your property - Clearing Space for organized living
Hi Stewart,
Kudos to you for going the extra mile to get your property prepared for sale by clearing out the clutter. One tiny bit of advice - consider keeping minimal furnishings in the main rooms so the home is not completely vacant when it's on the market. Vacant homes can be a hard sell - they are cold and uninviting and buyers often can't figure out how they would arrange their own furniture in the space. If the furniture is absolutely awful and there's no money for professional Staging, it may be fine to leave it vacant, but many times Stagers can work with what's in the home and by adding decorative pillows, throws, art and accessories (and possibly slipcovers), it's amazing the difference it can make. Especially consider leaving furniture behind in any small or awkwardly arranged spaces. Best of luck for a quck sale!
Annie - I hear what you say about havng no furniture at all.
But in this case, the deceased owner's furniture did not compliment the actual space. It was old and tired, and did not help create an inviting and warm ambience for propective buyers. That's why I suggested it all get removed.
What a great service. The cost should more than pay for itself by bringing a higher price for the condo and a quicker sale.
Thomas - This makes great sense to me. Plus, this particular organizer will assist clients with their moves. How great is that?
Hi Stewart,
It's great that you see this as a partnership. I think a lot of real estate professionals fear that a professional organizer is trying to do their job. A good organizer (in this case Rosalind acts as a project manager) knows about colaboration and communication. They also know how to problem solve and get things moving forward when you hit roadblocks. This is indeed very valuable. As the real estate pro, you can concentrate on the tasks directly related to the buy/sell process and it sounds like you love that! Thank you for the conversation.

Hi Stewart,
It is a great idea, but as a "not neat" freak that closet picture scares me. :)
All the best!
Hello Stewart,
Thank you so much for the great description of Clearing Space and what we can do to help Realtors and owners sell homes. It's been a pleasure working with you and preparing the condo for a successful sale. I really appreciate your supportive words about the value of my services and I look forward to working with you on more projects.
Stewart,
That is great that you recognize the importance of this partnership. When a house is clean and organized, potential buyers are able to see the space for its true value and not get distracted by all the clutter!
Awesome picture , it tells the story .
I want them to come to my house. I am always amazed when I knock on someones door and ask if they would be interested in selling and they let me show within days. It would take me a month to get my house ready to show.
I need one of these.....
Hell o Steward, thanks for the post. I just added extra storage around my house and it does make quite a difference.
