Sam Collora is known throughout the bowhunting industry as the former holder of the largest gross scoring typical whitetail record in North America, as well as the owner of Mrs. Doe Pee's Buck Lure. Sam’s dedication and expertise has lead him to not one, but two 200+ inch whitetail as well as numerous record class whitetails in both the typical and non-typical categories. This property is one of several that Sam has held closely as one of his top picks for real trophy producers and as a professional hunter myself, I’d have to agree. In the listing pictures you’ll see two bucks taken from the property last season as well as several sheds with the majority of them found last spring. It doesn’t take a world class bowhunter though to tell you that any property in Iowa could produce a world class deer at any time, but this property goes one step farther with the promise of producing high numbers of deer, a scenario that has been flat out hard to find in my experience. Several transition areas and funnels exist on the property and the layout makes it ideal for year round hunting opportunities at several types of game species. It's one of the few properties I have seen recently that has large numbers of stand sites I would hunt for several different wind directions. The biggest plus I see in this property is for the hunter who usually hunts together with others. 3 to 4 hunters could easily hunt the property and never see the same deer. A seasonal creek runs through the property and there are two waterholes that hold water year round. Several food plot locations and standing corn make this property one you should consider for your next trophy parcel.
