It is very hard to understand why people do the things that they do. We must all learn that some things are out of our control. The point being that we will continue to learn as long as we live but we may not always understand things as much as we may desire to. This leads back to acceptance and the rule of attitude of gratitude. Three of my recent six clients had issues that we had to overcome that had nothing to do with the nuts and bolts of the loan but instead outside factors in their life that impacted the thought process of proceeding with a loan. In the end I took the role of listener and then educator. In the end the clients make the final decision. It is a great business that we are in and we have the ability to impact many. We must always ensure that their best interest are the only thing that we focus on even if it appears to be the opposite of our best interest at that moment of time. Life is a marathon not a sprint and we learn each day how to be better in all aspects of our lives. Let me correct that and say that we have the chance to learn and improve if we desire to.
