Life's Frustrations

My husband and I have spent the majority of our Saturday looking for his car key.  My husband, James, is a very organized person.  He puts things in the same place every time.  If it were me losing a car key, not unusual.

We have looked under every single piece of furniture.  Through the laundry, in pockets, in drawers, on shelves.  Every where!  They keys are gone.  And we have a feeling that since we had a get together last night, that someone left with the key.  However, we've called the guests, and no one has them.   Don't know how carefully they've looked through their purses and in their cars, but they say they don't have them.

So we went through the whole house....ten more times.  I am tired of looking under the beds.  Crawling around your house on your hands and knees can really make you feel like a lousy housekeeper.  (I really need to  straighten this place up when this is over).

Even though James and I are content with the knowledge that we have looked everywhere, we can't get off this hampster wheel.  I'm hoping that writing this blog puts it to bed for me.  I am not spending all weekend looking for the key that grew legs and left home.  And I know that as soon as we've given up completely, that's when Murphy's Law will kick in and one of our cats will walk in and drop it on the ground in front of us.

So why can't we just give up?  UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chris Ann:  I would not be surprised if one of your babies... your cats... isn't sleeping right on top of them.  Or... did you look in the litter boxes... LOL.

Chris Ann:  I just took a quick look at the info on your condo in Chantilly... reduced to $123,000.  I am guessing that is an incredible price.  Why not make a post on that... and submit it to Localism ?

By the way... have you ever sold any of the townhouses in Sully Station ?  Way back in 1989 I was selling them new.  They were build by The Milton Company... and I bet I sold perhaps thirty of them.  Ahhh... what a great market that was.

Richard:  Will do.  My husband is so meticulous and organized.  It's not like him to lose his keys, but we do have five furry helpers.

Karen Anne:  I scooped the boxes last night and ended up with another crisis.  Someone peed backwards and it made it out of the box...unintentional, but it had me buying a steamcleaner as soon as Costco was open.  As for the condo, it's market value!  If the sellers actually kept it up, I would be more inclined to do more features.  Looks like a bomb went off.  Never sold anything in Sully Station.

Chris Ann,

A few years ago we lost my wife's keys. We haven't totally given up on the idea that they'll turn up someday - but that won't do us any good then. :)

Steve:  I doubt we will find these either.  Did you ever rekey your wife's car?  Or the house?
