Oakwood Heights is a mature affordable neighborhood in the center of Cary, NC.  Oakwood Heights is situated off Old Apex Road.  Access to the neighborhood is from Old Apex Road, or, through Carousel Park, or, from West Chatham Street through Sunset Hills, or through Dutchess Village.  Access and egress to and from the neighborhood are easy. 

Raleigh  and NC State University is an easy 20 minute commute.  The Research Triangle Park, "RTP," is about 25 minutes.  Both commutes can lengthen during heavy drive-time traffic.

The neighborhood was developed in the late 1950's-early 1960's, with another wave of development from the mid-1970's to mid-1980's.  194 pleasant classic ranch, split-level, and split-entry homes, and a few two-story homes comprise Oakwood Heights, with home sizes ranging from 1000 to 2400 square feet.
