For years, I have used mass e-mail marketing campaigns to promote my business directly to mortgage, title and field service companies.  Once a month I send out ove 200 e-mails to various companies throughout the United States to market my services.  I usually get about 10 - 20 hits from marketing this way.  Some companies will send you return e-mails, contracts in the mail, or requests for assignments just from that initial introduction letter about your services.

The contents of your advertisement should include: your name, service types, areas of coverage, contact info, availbility and a little description about your services.  Branding your e-mails is an added plus because it promotes a professional finishing touch.

I even advertise in foreign websites to reach consumers looking to have immigration or adoption services performed.

Do not limit yourself to advertising on local sites, expand your reach, the Internet is a powerful, use it to your advantage.

Believe or not, but I have gained alot of business through these methods.

A 5-10% response rate from a cold email campaign is fantastic!  I've never broken 2% on any direct marketing campaign.  Can you elaborate how you are getting these 200 email addresses to get such a great response?

Also, make sure you are CAN SPAM compliant if you are blindly sending emails.

Pamela - Your response rate is impressive! You go Girl!

May I ask how you find/select/pick the foreign sites you use?

I have emailed for years but I haven't done as much as I should have the last year or so.

Thanks for the wake up call, because this type of marketing really works.

Hello all! Thanks for your comments.  Now I will tell you my secrets....and then I must kill you...:)

Jeff:  In my early years I use to purchase those business listings...which were worthless to me.  Then, I used to seek out different business entities by gathering info off the Internet, years of agony.  I have found a wonder email spider software that harvest emails that is targeted to your market.  The cheapest I found was on Ebay!

Debbie: The web browser has been my greatest trade secret.  I typically type International Websites, research the different categories that matches my target market.  I have noticed that best sites are immigration, real estate and adoption sites.

Joan:  We are all in this together, lean on each other, brings forth success.

LaShon:  How are you doing? Well, branding works in the same capacity as branding your blogs with your signage, accept it for the e-mail page.  You can have it mirror your web page, add graphics, logos, etc.  You can purchase software or join a branding company to do this.  Or simply, design it yourself, however it works best with Microsoft Outlook.  There are many resources on the net, just use the browser.

A great site that I use to market is www.Sulekha.com.  I hope this helpful.

Thanks for the help; I just put an ad on sulekha.com. I never would have thought of it.

I went to ebay and put in "email spider software" and is this the type of software I should purchase?

Hi Joan:

This is a marketing tool, it extracts emails from websites that you pick.  So it you wanted a listing for field services that offers merchant site inspections, you can compile a list that seeks out companies requesting independent contractors.

The email spider software is what I was speaking of, however, please research and compare other products before purchasing.  I always do comparative review.

Hey Lashon:  You may also want to look under e-mail campaigns,

Hi, Pamela

What do you use for sending out mass emails?  Can you reccomend a service so my email address doesn't get labeled as a spammer?

Thanks!  LauraV

Hi Laura,

I have tested the trial services of many e-mail marketing campaign programs online, they are all pretty good and offer about the same.  These programs all vary in price.  Some you can purchase as a download or obtain a disc.  I always recommend for people to do comparative shopping.  I do know that Microsoft Office offers a nice program, and by the way most of these programs work best with Microsoft Outlook.  Just type in e-mail marketing and you will obtain many choices.
