Ok - so the Fed and the US Goverment is helping out the big banks in order to control stability. Very cool. I bet these big banks appreciate this! I am certain the rationale behind this makes sense to the US and Global economies. I get this.....

But let me ask you this - what about me? What about the self employed middle class whose income is way down. What about the borrowers who always paid on time and are getting crushed now because the economy has driven their income down. What are you going to do for the people who can't make the payments anymore? What about the people who can't pay their taxes this year? What about the people who can't afford college for their kids nor qualify for a student loan? What about the huge numbers of us who were depending on those credit lines that have been fozen?

All this bailout talk is great stuff. But -  What about me??

If your address is Wall Street you are covered! If not, you are only a statistic.

Lewis, I try not to sound selfish when I think of these bailouts and the govenments involvement, but when there are so many people that are affected by the events of the last 2 years, it leaves me wondering also, what about me and my neighbors

Thanks

Bo

Now the government is telling us that all this is an investment in assets that we can share in the profits as taxpayers.  Don't tell me that you don't believe this...  LOL  I will be standing by my mailbox waiting for my check to arrive.  Won't you?

I just heard this:

if 65% of the mortgages we are buying break even, or do better, we will profit from this.  Right now, 95% of those mortgages are being paid on time (according to CNBC).

What do you think??

Lewis.... I think you spoke to soon on this one..... I have basically kept my mouth shut about the bailout, until they voted....  they went back to the grindestone later this afternoon... to see what could be worked out.

We just need to see what happens. I personally don't think we should save to many... let the market correct itself... but help in smaller areas...  I semi wrote about this.. we need to focus on what got us here.
