Hi Beth - In Charlottesville, Virginia we held our Parade of Homes the past two weekends.  I had about 95 groups through the home that I held open last week.  Hopefully I will get some business from it.  I wish you luck with your tour.

Thanks Pam.

It went well. We've been doing this since the beginning of the year and the consistency really helps. We now have people looking forward to it and know it will be the last Saturday of every month, and a couple of our agents have gotten offers directly from the RE/MAX Sedona Open House Tour events. We're doing all possible to help our sellers, and give buyers easy access to tour these homes.

Is yours an annual event? I've heard that Albuquerque does a huge annual parade of homes in conjunction with the balloon festival, and a group of us have discussed trying to plan one in conjunction with one of Sedona's many annual events. Is yours in Charlottesville hooked to an event, and if so what type of event? I'm wondering what criteria we should consider in selecting an event to plan around.

Now that's an awesome picture. Take away all the greenery and it could be the wild, wild west out of a John Wayne movie.

Hey Jim - actually, it IS (or was) the wild, wild west out of a John Wayne movie: two of his films, "Angel and the Badman" and "Tall in the Saddle" were filmed here, along with SCADS of other movies.

Check out this fun article about some of the famous classic westerns and even some more recent films that were made in Sedona:

As a matter of fact, we have streets named after some of them (Johnny Guitar Circle and Pony Soldier Road, both in West Sedona, come to mind) and a trail up in Oak Creek Canyon at West Fork named after Call of the Canyon.

Just a little Sedona trivia to go with your morning coffee ;^).
