Spring Hill - Civil War battlefields have now become important. Who would have thought that we would want to remember the worst days of this country. The destruction of civilion property throughout the south is still a very sore spot with southerners, and the fact that congress declared 3.5 million civilians as traitors so that they couldn't vote or hold property, didn't set very well either.
The preservation of historical battlefields thoughout Tennessee is happening, and maybe some day, southerners will not be resentful of the fact that everyone who lived in the south lost everything, no matter which side they believed in.
