An Afternoon on Main Street: Centerfest in Bedford, Virginia

Despite the drizzle over the weekend, Centerfest in Bedford, Virginia was well attended. We brought our umbrella and enjoyed the food, the bands and the crafts. I actually started my Christmas shopping thanks to all of the vendors selling Virginia Tech items.

Bedford is a great little city located about twenty minutes outside of Lynchburg, VA. Home to the National Elks Home, many antique stores and one of my favorite restaurants, The Duchess of Bedford.

I LOVE this picture book....it reminds me of books I put together as a kid from trips we took as a family. It was almost like a mini-scrap book. I tried to create something on flckr with my loft listing the other day - and it was a mess. The embed didn't work at all. I'm going to give this a try sometime.

Liz, I kept getting those last night and the system was very slow. I love the community festivals in Virginia. Low key, a lot of great food. The rain held off most of the day so we really enjoyed ourselves.

You just started your Christmas shopping? I'm already well underway on that =P I believe my methodoligy is called "anal retentive". Every year, it's my goal to be completely finished by Thanksgiving. I have no patience for the crowds after that =/

Lisa, I'm a recovering A/R- since I went back to work I've learned to let things slide- a bit! I will have everything done by Thanksgiving too, and no more 'day after' Christmas shopping for me, I like to sleep in!
