Haiku Maui Tropical Escape

So what is so special about Haiku any way? Well Kihei Maui is a nice place. The tourist love it. It has great beaches, shopping and lots of places to eat. Okay saying that when I am done working in Wailea I am out of there and heading to the north shore.

I know I am getting close to home when I hit Baldwin Beach. I love Baldwin in the morning. Sometimes I will have my wife drop me off at Paia Beach and stand up paddle down to Spreckelsville. Crusing by Baldwin Beach you see the same people there for their morning walk. As I am paddling down the beach I always see this lady and her dog swimming laps. The dog always comes by to check me out and off he goes. Avi one of our famous Maui artist is always walking with his morning coffee. I give him a Shaka sign and head down the coast.

Heading into Paia town is like coming home. It's the Mayberry of the pacific. Driving through town you might catch up with a couple of your surf buddies and get the latest surf report. I always stop at Mana's natural foods for some fresh grinds for dinner. It is also a very social spot in Paia. So I am driving out of Paia and you might run into Pete Jalbert a fellow rain blogger. There has been warning signs to keep off the side walks now that Georgie Hunter is riding her electric bike in Paia town.

Heading out of town you come into a beautiful view of Hookipa Beach Park. World famous for windsurfing and surfing. I am always excited to check the surf. Driving by every day you know when it's firing and never miss a good day. I have been surfing out there over 30 years and loving it.

Well finally coming out of Maliko Gulch heading into Haiku I love the greenery. It is always so tropical and sweet country living. I live on 2-acres and coming homes is always a joy. Today I am finishing off putting in the rest of my papaya orchid. So Haiku living is to me a true island experience. Living the country life, hanging with your friends, family and dogs. So life is good if you are interested in north shore or Haiku drop me a line.
