We received a phone call a couple of weeks ago from someone wanting to come down and look at some homes. After speaking to them for a short period of time, we asked them a question that we try to ask all new clients. "Where did you find us?" Their answer was as follows.
"Do you realize that you are everywhere on the Internet? Every time we searched in Google, and clicked on a link, we found you."
Our obvious response was, "Thank you for the compliment. We have worked hard to get ourselves to that point."
Afterward, we sat down and thought about what had happened. We have clients commenting to us that we can be found all over the Internet. WOW is all I could think.
We have worked for several years to build an Internet presence. We began in 2005 by getting our own website. Of course, we got a website, knowing nothing about what to do with it. We then ran into several trainings, especially Michael Russer's Online Dominance Training. Through these trainings we discovered how to market our website and make changes to it that would benefit our SEO. We were doing pay-per-click, but weren't moving up the search engines organically as well as would have liked.
Then, came blogging. About 5 months ago, I finally decided to give in and start blogging. I was walking into it blind, having not a clue what I was doing. Well, after 5 months, we have almost 15,000 points, I am #1 in Barnegat and # 7 in Ocean County. Along with that, we are able to find our posts all the time on the first page of the search engines.
Who would have thought? We worked for over 2 years taking trainings and trying to make our website how Google wanted it to be. Then, we start blogging and almost immediately we find ourselves on Google.
It all seems so simple now, yet 6 months ago, I was saying that there was no way that blogging could work for me.
How wrong I was!
It's so simple. I just write about the communities I work in, what's going on in the market, etc. It is all info that I am writing in e-mails or talking to clients about already. All I have to do is put it in writing.
BLOGGING IS DEFINITELY THE WAY TO GO!

With all of the technological advances today, it seems almost impossible not to be found. Great that clients are finding you via blogging.
