Projected to be one of the largest mixed-use communities in the nation, the 147-acre Frisco Square is designed around a traditional town-center concept in which residents can live, work and play in an urban-style, pedestrian neighborhood. The master plan calls for some 1.9 million square feet of office space, 550,000 square feet of retail space, 110,000 square feet of restaurant space and 80,000 square feet of municipal facilities in addition to townhomes and apartments.

LandPlan Development Corp. has acquired 30 acres of land for 500 new townhome, stacked flat and condominium units in Frisco Square, at the southeast corner of the Dallas North Tollway and Main Street. Homes will range in size from approximately 1,350 to over 3,500 square feet and be priced from the $220s to the $600s.
A vital part of the exciting momentum currently building in Frisco, Frisco Square is home of the new Frisco City Hall and library complex, which opened in July 2006. A heritage park celebrating local history also is underway in the development.
Pizza Hut Park, the new $80 million, 105-acre soccer and entertainment complex located across Main Street was completed in August 2005. The park is home to the professional soccer team FC Dallas as well as FISD varsity football games and local, regional and national soccer tournaments and concerts in addition to other events year-round.
Frisco Square will soon benefit from the northward extension of the Dallas North Tollway to U.S. Hwy. 380 as well. Improvements are scheduled to for completion in September 2007.

I like the trend towards more urban, pedestrian-friendly decelopments. Are there any restrictions on investor purchases for the condos, flats and townhomes?
