Frisco, TEXAS (March 12, 2007) - Frisco Square, a master-planned lifestyle community in the heart of Frisco, announced today that it leased 4500 square feet to Lochrann's-Irish Pub and Eatery which will be located in the building at the Southeastern corner of Main Street and Coleman Boulevard, directly across from Pizza Hut Park. Lochrann's-which in Gaelic means "lantern", a symbol for entertainment, livelihood and a safe-haven-will boast an upscale environment, with much of its mahogany décor and wait staff imported directly from Ireland. The full-service bar and eatery will serve a variety of Irish-American food-from cheeseburgers to Shepherd's pie-and boasts the best pint of Guiness beer in the Metroplex. Many nights, the restaurant will have live entertainment including an interactive piano player, Irish bands or dancers. Lochrann's subscribes to the Irish Pub Concept ("IPC") which uses a prescribed business model to recreate the authentic atmosphere of a true Irish pub and has been used to open more than 1,800 pubs in 53 countries since 1992 (http://www.irishpubconcept.com/).
"Our close location to the mega-soccer complex at Pizza Hut Park and the family-friendly atmosphere in Frisco, made Frisco Square the logical location for Lochrann's to open," remarked Jim Leslie, managing partner of Frisco Square. "Local patrons will be able to enjoy a fun dining experience amidst our unique environment, which allows them to shop, eat and be entertained in one location."

I'm always saying we need more sitdown restaurants on this end of Frisco. This sounds like a great place. We had quite a few irish pubs in the Washington DC neighborhood we used to live in and it definitely made for a fun night out.
