If you are already familiar with Robert Kiyosaki's book,
Rich Dad, Poor Dad,
you need no introduction. Kiyosaki is offering his FREE, Learn To Be Rich
seminar at 4 Dallas area locations from October 6th through 9th(see below). To register for the event, click
here. You could expect to learn about a clear
path to financial literacy.
My experience with Kiyosaki's event (even though not this FREE training)
has been motivating. It has also done the same for many whom at one point
just sat on their behinds wishing things were different for them. His message is
refreshing, more so in an economic condition such as this one. Even though I did
not begin my financial quest through real estate on my first try, this event was
my starting point to make a difference in my life. So, this event coming highly
recommended.
Some of Kiyosaki's famous quotes that seems so appropriate in these times
are:
“Most people are poor because when it comes to
investing, the world is filled with Chicken Littles running
around yelling, ‘The sky is falling. The sky is falling.’”
"The poor and middle class work for money. The rich have
money work for them."
"The trouble with the rat-race is that even
if you win, you're still a rat."

I have heard of the same as mention in davids blog. Also having read his books, after the first book, it was a lot of the same stuff and fluff, Kiyosaki and trump, promote making money off the efforts of others, they tout owning real estate and renting properties, but there is a lot more to being a landlord, and they promote multi level marketing, or network marketing. While there are some good multi-level companies, theres a great deal more to being successful with them, and it does not happen over night.
Are there really over-night get rich quick schemes - no. Not in network marketing or real estate. However, Robert Kiyosaki is not promoting get rich quick. I have never been to one of his seminars, but I have read is books and listened to a few CD's. He has has a lot to offer, it is up to the reader to apply the principles.
David, I have shared my comments/ feedback on your blog. I appreciate that you pointed it out to me.
Paul, I think like most seminar attendees, they normally just show up with nothing else to follow up. I have never tried his principles (because that's not my way) but I dont think that it's worth zero as if we will learn nothing.
Sue, I agree with you. What we do with what we hear can and will make a difference if we just apply it.
I really enjoyed this book and the series - I have read several of them. I really like what he takes about with "financial intelligence" and "financial IQ" . I agree with him that most Americans lack financial intelligence because it is not taught in high schools or in colleges... no where are the basics of finance and business taught and as a result we are left with a country who lacks basic understanding of money. ~ Chris
I have read some of the books and thought they were pretty good. I was surprised to read the feedback comments about the seminar. I hadn't heard any of that, but then I haven't ever talked to anyone who had attended.
