How your posts can be useful when working with clients

I was out showing Victorian style homes in the downtown area of Colorado Springs when the buyer began to ask me questions about the turn of the century homes.

"What kind of electrical wiring is used in these older homes?  How do you upgrade the electrical panel and wiring?"

I answered a few of his questions and then said:  "You know what?  I am going to forward you a post I recently wrote about Victorian homes that should answer all of your questions."

I recently met with some first time home buyers and they were inquiring about down payment assistance programs.  They started taking notes and I said "Don't worry about writing anything down, I will forward you my post regarding down payment assistance programs for first time buyers."  I immediately saw a sign of relief on their faces!

Blogs can not only be used to reach prospective clients, but can also be a great tool to educate the clients you are already working with.

Your clients can reference your post at any time which is much easier than remembering everything you said.

I always hope my clients will find the post useful, which in turn, will interest them in coming back to my blog for more information down the road.

Patricia, this is an excellent example when you can go back to what you or another wrote and use that as a reference source. As long as it is always there and we can search for it, we've got the material.

Patricia, That is exactly how you should be using your blog. I am constantly "pushing"my articles at the consumer and it really helpswith my business. It's a great way to build readership. Well done Patricia!!!
