Ann, Portsmouth, NH (I mean Newington!) is lucky to have this great family place to go to. Your photos do the exterior justice, it's WOW to look at!

Ann... I agree, I like the colors... it stands out. I am sure that it wouldn't work in some areas, that are more business like. But overall, I think it's very catchy for a movie theater. And what you also described within the theater. How organized that they are...  in regards to the strollers, the section for parents to talk, and so much more. Creative...

Ann - have I mentioned how much I love color?  I used to do color consulting pre-real estate.  I love the children's program they have.  I have not taken my little one to the movies yet (and he's 28 months) because I am afraid he will bother people in the theater....that's what I call an innovative idea.

Hi Sue - got a light jacket with me that I'll be carrying on the plane with me this morning when we head to the airport!  I had been hearing that it was just a tad cooler back home, with some white stuff still remaining on the ground.  

I had wanted to take some inside pictures of the lobby, but was told no at the time I asked.  They did a nice job on the lobby area, too.

Jeff - thanks for stopping by!  Certainly there are some businesses that these kinds of bright bold colors wouldn't work for, but a movie theater just looks that much more appealing in these colors. 

Ines - I had a feeling you loved color, from some of your posts you've written.  This chain of theaters is very clever with their family and kid-oriented programs.  They know that's a segment of the market waiting to be tapped into, and they're doing it.

Laurie - Not right next door, but there's a Barnes and Nobles in the same shopping center, and they have a Starbucks right inside their store.  How's that?

Ann,you are right...the theatre is very vivid with these colors, eye catching. What is old is new again. I'm still day dreaming about those lilacs, though.

Hi Monika - you're right, it is colder here than Florida.  BUT, I did have to put my jacket on down there this morning, believe it or not!  it's a damp cool down there and it makes it feel colder than it is up here, strangely enough.  Got home a bit ago, had a nice dinner at Abercrombie's in North Hampton, and here I am, safely esconced back in my own home!

Gena - These colors are even cooler in person!  I, too, am dreaming of those lilacs.  It got colder here again, so it may be a bit before I see those in my yard.  My tulips, however, are sprouting up very nicely though!

Mariana - Those colors are really fun!  Thanks for the very nice compliment - I try to write about things that people will find interesting and enjoyable to read about and look at.

Hi Ann: How bright & cheery that multiplex, very inviting! We have a plethora of them here in the Twin Cities! So many, that several have closed and have been remodeled for other uses, or been torn down and the land redeveloped. The ones that have survived are great places to take in a movie—large comfortable theaters with good sight-lines—and large screens. I enjoy my occasional visits.

Hi Jay - how nice to see you here, and enjoying my movie theater post!!  When I saw those new colors, I couldn't help but feel happy and cheerful - and I think many others feel the same way.  The theaters who haven't undergone the changes that this one has are missing some untapped markets, in my opinion.

Codgers- I love that word "plethora"...did you ever watch The Three Amigos with Chevy Chase? OK, silly B-grade movie but quite funny.

Ann-we drove past this movie theater yesterday on our way to the Lakes Region and I thought of you as the kids asked, "Can WE go there? It looks soo cool."

Beautiful colors, although you mad me a little dizzy and I think I might misspell a word or too!

I am including this in my top 25 week in review. I have been challenged by you know who to write it.

We have Regal here,,,but I am not sure if it is the same, they did file chapter 11 A few years ago.

WOW!  I love the colors. I love even more, the Tuesdays before 1:00pm idea.  Now that's some great customer service.  Always love your stuff Ann, keep it coming!  Hope you had a great weekend.  Also, Thank Neal for leading me to this one.  "His Top 25" of the week. 

I love the colors too!  I can't even imagine how much life that might bring to Long Island which has been a bit gloomy all spring :)!  Thanks for sharing that.

Hi Sharon - thanks for reading!  I don't know why more businesses, when appropriate, don't use more cheerful colors on their buildings.  I know there are some that it just wouldn't work for, but for those that it would - do it!!
