I've noticed that there are a lot of indecisive buyers out there… It is understandable that with the uncertain economy and turmoil in US, Canadians don’t really know what’s coming… And this huge step of buying a home is after all one of the most important decisions you will make.
BUT… I’ve seen buyers crying at an Open House, because they just missed out on the home of their dreams and now have to start the search again. I had requests for showings on townhouses that were available for months and months and when Clients finally decided that YES, they would like to see those… they were gone. I had Clients looking for fixer upper’s in great neighbourhoods, and when time came to snag one that just came on the market on that one street they dreamed about… they over-thought the process, and someone else have reaped the rewards.
I’m not saying: Jump on every deal out there! We have plenty great deals in Barrie nowadays, you know…
I’m saying: if it makes sense, if you feel it in your heart, if you KNOW that this is the home for you, if it is exactly what you’ve been looking for… and on that perfect street no less!...
Do not wonder, and go over all the “what if’s” in your head. Do not dwell on the possibilities that next month may bring. Do no waste your time to look at 10 other homes you know you will hate! (Because deep down, you already have made your choice)
If you do, you may be the one crying at my next Open House, because that perfect home of yours, that great deal that you know you should have jumped on, that one and only…, just sold from under your nose to someone who recognized an opportunity and simply acted on it.

I am amazed at how many buyers live with missing out on the perfect home because they wanted to think about it. I warn them of it when we go out for the first time, but until they do it, it seems they just can't listen.
