My company is getting a lot of referrals from outside real estate companies and I am greatful.

My concern is, I want to keep them abreast of the status without breaching any confidentiality issues.  Over ten years ago, I used to do reports for relocation clients that was pretty good since it included updates on:

  • Client contact;
  • Next proposed contact;
  • Client status;
  • Listing price/terms;
  • Marketing strategy;
  • Showings;
  • Details on the offers as they came in;
  • Closing details;
  • etc.
If you have anything already close to a standardized form like this I would really appreciate it if you would share!

I am surprised that nobody stepped up on this one.  I will create one myself if any of you need it, I will share.

Unfortunately, I didn't receive any suggestions so this is what I have come up with:

 

TRANSACTION RELATED CONFIDENTIALITY DISCLAIMER: 

SELLER understands that this relationship was based on an original referral by a ____ agent .  Since they referred me and my company to you, they require that I provide status updates back to them on a routine basis.

Progressive Realty Corporation, or it’s agents, may during the course of the transaction, provide updates as to the marketing status and discuss results of our marketing efforts with ___ agent or their Broker.  This data will include but not be limited to the following; home inspections, service contracts, appraisals, environmental assessment inspection, code compliance inspection, title insurance, closing and escrow services, loans and refinancing services, construction and repair, legal and accounting services, and/or surveys.

Jim, great information, I guess all the referrals I've received I keep touch with the agent by e-mail or phone, I really hadn't thought of this, but it's a great idea.
