Is it necessary to stage the entire house?

Good news the answer is NO...buyers are usually only interested in the areas that they will be spending the most time in. These areas will be the living room, family room, dining rooms, kitchen, bathrooms and master bedroom and it is not neccessary to stage any other bedrooms.

We do recommend that you stage any areas that are not well defined and if you have an extra room include an office. With so many people running businesses out of thier homes offices can help to sell a home. We stage on average 6-7 rooms making sure that when the future homeowner enters the home they experience the WOW effect!

Be sure to include in your presentation a great looking curb appeal for the home because without a good impression from the curb you might not even get them to go into see the beautiful staging that you have invested in.

Stage it and get the sold sign posted!

Karel, this is a great post. We recently did a partial staging for a client. They received an offer at the open house.

Hmmm not sure I agree with you Karel, I think if you're going to stage part of a house you should stage all of it, otherwise it doesn't flow properly. The other thing I would be worried about, with only certain areas of the home staged, the unstaqged parts may look as though they are not as good in condition as the staged areas which may also result in negative feedback. I would suggest to people on a tight budget to either ask their Realtor for staging tips and / or ask an interior design student to come by and help stage the home and in return allow the student to take before and after photos to use in one of their many practical projects. Both alternitives are inexpensive and very affective.
