This is a continuation of our Labor Day Get Away. If you did not get a chance to read my post about our visit to Medieval Times in Orlando you can click here to read that post to catch up.

We go to Disneyworld a lot and that means we miss out on the other activities in Orlando when we are there. Most of the time we stay on Disney property at one of their awesome resorts. We own Disney Vacation Points and love to stay at The Wilderness Lodge and Animal Kingdom Lodge. But this time we were invited by one of our sellers to stay at his Vacation Property that we have co listed with Simon Conway to sell.

Our son was celebrating his 6th birthday and asked to go to SeaWorld Orlando. Of course we obliged! I love SHAMU and the dolphins! It is so different to go with one child to a park than it was when I was bringing 5 kids to the parks in Orlando!

On one of the days we went over to the Wonderworks in Orlando on International Drive. Again, we rarely do things outside of Disney. When our son saw the upside down structure he was insistant of going inside. We gave it a try. It was a big dissapointment for Nestor and me. Our son loved it. We had fun but we are so spoiled by what Disney has to offer. Our Science Museum here in West Palm Beach was just about the same without the outside look that draws you in and certainly not the same price tag. The Wonderworks was very expensive for what you get. I don't feel it was worth the money. Save your money and go to Disneyworld or Universal Studios.

Wonderworks Orlando

Wonderworks Orlando

Some of the many activities we did take part in at Wonderworks was the Hurricane. You step inside this machine and hold on to the poles. Then you get to feel what 60 miles per hour winds feel like. That was very intense and our son of course loved that.

Wonderworks Orlando

Then I was the only one brave enough to sit on the Bed of Nails. That was interesting. I did feel the nails poking into the back part of the bottom of my leg near where my ankle is and it did hurt. But all those nails sticking in me was pretty amazing.

Wonderworks Orlando

Our son had fun playing with the NASA space suit.

Wonderworks Orlando

The funnest part was the Bubble making room. They had all kinds of tools to make bubbles with. The fun one was these super large hoops that could make bubbles big enough to layer over your body.

Wonderworks Orlando

The Dolphin Show is really inspiring. When I watch the dolphins in the water I just want to jump in the water with them. One of my goals is to swim with the dolphins but I am going to do that in Hawaii like Cyndee Haydon and her family did. Enjoy the photos.

We saw the Shamu at night show! It was spectacular! I just love watching Shamu. Enjoy these photos of Shamu. What else can I say! The night vision on the camera makes the photos have a shaded tone to them. I tried to lighten them up. I finally decided I would rather watch the Shamu show than worry about good photos.

Looks like a fun time, Katerina. The photos are wonderful and really convey a great impression of your experience, and some o fthe things there are to do there. NEver been myself...and out here we have the original Disneyland, which is always fun, even with the grown-up kids.

Katerina, I loved Disney in Orlando and have been there many times while my children were growing up---and saw Shamu who never disappoints!  We always had so much fun and I always felt they learned a lot as well.  Thanks for sharing your pictures!

Hi Katrina, What a cutie that little guy is .  He must have had a ball.  My grandson, same age, just spent his birthaday at Disney Workd on July 29th.  He said it was the best birthday ever.  How many kids get fireworks for their birthday.  Glad to see you took time to enjoy your family
