I have a Point2 site. And have been working away adding content and photos. It is kind of amateurish I guess because iv'e done it all myself and erased most of the scripts supplied in the  templates.

I use LPC  - Link Popularity check. You put in various URL's and it checks the links for each search engine.

I forget where I picked it up -- Its free to use for anyone out there who wants to use it.

Anyway ------- Google has always been the one I could not rank on. 4 maybe 6 links . Then all of a sudden last week 4647! on the google chart for a total of +- 5220 .

Do you think they made a mistake? Its been over a week now .

For you guys that know what you are doing maybe you can point me in the right direction.

There are no websites in Nova Scotia that have anywhere near that many google links or whatever they are?

You should get google webmaster tools. When you have it properly working you can check the number of links google has for your site. It used to be easy to check. Type link:http://www.homesearchnovascotia.com in google search bar. This command still works for yahoo but google requires you to use webmaster tools to check now.

yahoo shows you at 335 back links. http://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/search?p=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.homesearchnovascotia.com&bwm=i&bwmf=u&bwms=p&fr=yfp-t-501&fr2=seo-rd-se

no problem! I would really check out that webmaster tools. Its really a must have. Its not hard to install you just have to put a simple meta tag into your site and then youre off. I would also make sure you have a sitemap. Once you get it up just follow all the things Google suggests.
