Halloween sucks with foreclosures

I just want you to know that I have a huge love affair with Halloween (party queen; check out the Robinson's), it could be that I love CANDY and I don't mean myself, Candi!

I just couldn't help but think of all the foreclosed houses this year from neighborhood to neighborhood and many of my friends and family facing this same difficult situation.

I hope that no one is offended with the cartoon included here in this post, it actually spurred this post to reach out to those that are struggling and heading toward foreclosure. I know personally how difficult this can be and the emotions that it entails.

In no way am I suggesting anything funny about losing your home back to the bank. I just know that anymore if you are one that takes your kids and grandkids through the neighborhood in which you live, most likely this cartoon might be closer to the truth than we all hate to admit.

My heart goes out those that are financially strapped for whatever their circumstances and the means in which they find themselves. I truly understand and I would be happy to help you where I can.

If you are an Arizona homeowner and facing foreclosure and/or need to consider a shortsale then by all means be sure to contact me to get further information on how I can assist you with your lender/s.

Many people miss one mortgage payment and shrug it off as a one-time thing. The next month predictably rolls around and nothing changes. Now, it’s two missed payments. And it only gets worse from there. Soon enough, the letters and phone calls are unavoidable and foreclosure – that nasty word you never thought you’d experience – is a very real possibility.

When you get behind on mortgage payments – even just one payment – it’s time to take action. You should at the very least make a phone call and speak to a short sale specialist about what you need to do going forward. I will be happy to make recommendations about how you should proceed and whether or not it’s going to be necessary to put your home on the market or work with your lender/s.

When it comes to your home, you can’t be too cautious. Staying on top of the situation can be the difference between long, sleepless nights and a safe, secure future. If you’re sitting at home right now and thinking, “I may be in trouble, but not yet,” then you need to take action. Don’t let that first missed mortgage payment snowball into something you can’t control.

Feel free to call me direct and let me help you understand the logic behind short sales and guide you through the process of getting back on track.

If people would just call us early when they begin to get behind rather than after they are 4+ months late, we could help so much more!

Susan - I agree - but I know that often times some clients fail to mention it out of embarrassment and it's a difficult thing to discuss with anyone. Not all foreclosures are from what we are seeing today, some are circumstances that might mean loss of jobs, medical conditions and not just bad lending loans. My heart breaks for those that have to sit and tell perhaps a stranger all their dirty laundry. Sometimes it's just easier to perhaps ignore it and as a professional, I hope to convey that it is tough and I am here to listen and help. I know you are the same. Thanks for the correct suggestion!

Candace- Timely and your compassion is very clear.  Yes embarrassment is very likely a big cause of not making those "help me" phone calls, as well as loss mitigation people that won't help you until AFTER you're in trouble.  The system seems to prefer an after the horse has left mentality than close the door so the horse doesn't leave..... :)

Candace:  After reading your post it hit me how this coming Halloween night and the parents taking their kids out trick-or-treating could really hit home with them... going door to door and seeing up close and personal the foreclosure and eviction notices.  Somehow it isn't so real... until it hits a person right in the face with the notice on the door or window.  Ouch.
