The Views are awesome, the service sucks, Hancock Building, Chicago, IL

I'm trying very hard to make this post about the views...however, you might detect some hostility towards the service (this I will explain in another post)...but, let's let this one be nice and complementary about the view of great Chicago (of course, an opposite post to follow)

While in Chicago I HAD to see the view from the Hancock Building.

You can either go to the observatory or go to the bar (guess which one my sister and I went to?).

BUT WHAT EVER YOU DO DON'T GO FOR THE SERVICE, BECAUSE THERE IS NONE!

Whew, now that I have that out of my system, let's move on.

The view is spectacular. No other words necessary.

I did shoot some photos so you can see exactly what I'm talking about.

Oh, by the way viewing is located on the 96 FLOOR! If you get there around 5-5:30p.m. you can get a great seat and watch the sunset (fabulous!)

Wonderful views! I especially like the bottom photo, all the lights surrounding the Lake.

My daughter will be in Chicago tomorrow. This really is an incredible view!! GBU!

Those are some stunning views! But, c'mon! Tell us how you really feel about the service :o)

Everytime I have gone up to see the view it has been cloudy, foggy or raining. Thank you for showing me what I have missed.

Wow! Great pictures. We took the architectural boat tour while we were there and it was great but didn't go up in any of the buildings.

Debbie-I had to change the flash on my camera otherwise you couldn't see it was just a sea of black with twinkling lights (which was good too!)

Sheila, We've never been at any "Top of The ----" and had good service. We both know they are tourist traps with no repeat customers. But they all have great views and photo ops - well done, Karen

OMG! Those views are incredible! Now, is the service only bad in one place, or is it everywhere? Because my daughter was in Chicago a couple of years ago and she said everywhere she went, the people were rushed and rude.
