Thanks To All Our Troops Around The World

I think it is good sometimes to just stop and say "THANKS" to all of our troops around the world for their service to our country.  We enjoy the blessings that have been secured for us by the unknown sacrifice of so many.  As we enjoy our security, they endure the pressures of survival in many hostile regions around the world.  As we sleep easy at night, they stay awake with eyes that cannot relax.  As we enjoy the comfort of our families, they look at pictures and long someday to see the face of their loved ones. We forget that our country has been purchased with the blood of our troops over many generations and we should stop sometimes and "give honor to whom honor is due".

Great post John....we should all take time out of our busy schedules to give thanks to all those who sacrificed so much for us.  Thank you for the wake up call

I join both John and Bruce in their comments.

Reminded me of a saying heard long ago . . . God and the Soldier we alike adore.  In time of danger and not before.  When war is over and all things righted, God is forgotten, the Soldier slighted.

AMEN! How do you thank someone who is willing to risk their life so I and my family can live ours in peace? Whenever I see a serviceman or woman, at a mall or a restaurant, I go up to them and say thank you and try to buy their meal. I haven't been able to do that so far, someone else has already paid for it!

Nothing will bring tears to my eyes faster that a group of servicemen at an airport. When I send care packages, I write on the outside " if you're reading this in english, thank a soldier" (www.marinemoms.com)

Yes, I always greet soldiers with a greeting of "thank you for your service to our country" and a big hand shake.

Yes and Thanks. Unless you have been there, you just don't know how important it is to let them know. Carry On!

Thanks for the reminder!  I am ashamed that I do not think of these valiant young hero's more often.  I think they get things right!  All we listen to are the distractions on TV and radio everyday from people that would never think of serving our country, but only themselves.

Are troops are the greatest generation this country has seen in a long time!  God bless them all, and protect them with His grace until they are back home safe and sound again!

Thanks for the reminder!

Jim Crawford
