So here I am, about to unshackle my first lockbox to put on the front door of my first listing. How exciting! Now how to not jump every time the cell rings, hoping it's a showing request by a customer or another realtor? I don't think I can avoid it....I want to be successful with my first listing and get it SOLD which is such a challenge in Hernando County right now. However, I will remain optimistic and do my best to get it done! Happy Weekend everyone!
Shawnia,
Congratulations on your first listing. I am sure that you will have many more. You have a great attitude.

Thanks for the encouragement you guys!!! :) WAIT, SHERI... I think you are my friend's realtor..maybe. Dani & Chad from Easley, SC do they sound familiar?
Shawna, your enthusiasm is wonderful. Congratulations! Oh yes, you'll be jumpy when the phone rings, but that's a good thing.
Shawnia,
It is a small world! Yes, I am their Realtor! I think the world of Dani and Chad.
Shawnia, Best of luck, I have found over the years the neighbors of a listing can be a great source of buyers. They have friends or family they would love to have as their own neighbors. Go to the town hall and buy a property owners disc, or simply write down the 10-15 closest neighbors and mail them a listing and intro letter..hope you sell it fast there is nothing like good results to get you more listings. Steve
Shawnia - Congratulations and good luck. As others have mentioned, do all that you can including blogging here.
Shawnia - Congratulations! This will be the first of many in your career. Stay positive and you will go far. Good Luck and post that listing everywhere you can.
Shawnia, way to go! Congratulations and I hope it sells quickly. Don't forget to send out those "Just Listed" cards to the neighbors. Best of Luck!
It is a crazy time to get into this business. Business is good for SOME, I hope you are among us. Best of luck!
Congrats! Stay positive and focused! Now go out and find a buyer for it and you will be in the game!
Shawna,
Congratulations on your first listing. No go out and show that you can get it sold. Focus on making this sale above all other activities, then move onto the next one. :)
Steve
Sorry - sharing a computer and didn't know I wasn't logged in.
Congrats Shawna I am very happy for you on your listing. Keep up the good work.
your blog brings a smile to my face. It makes me remember my first listing. Thanks for the post it was fun to read
Shawana,
You always remember your first!
It's true in real estate. Mine was a little house owned by an octogenarian lady, it sold, but she died 3 days before the closing. The selling brokers (3 brothers) went to the funnel and demanded the daughters sign off, they called me 6 weeks in the business and already big problems, I fought off the brokers. I resold the house for the estate and did a dozen more deals for the family over the next two years. You remember, mine was 35 years ago.
Now that your started, you'll do well.
Bill
You're a compelling reason, via this blog, as to why sellers just might do well to consider someone new to the industry. Experience is NOT "everything." Good luck- I hope that your phone rings off the hook!
I know Hernando is challenging, my sister lives in Springhill, she fills me in with the real estate news. I used to live in Brooksville back in the 80's, I hear it is not much better either. But stay positive, get your name out there.
Shawnia, Great job! That is always an experience to remember! Keep adding to it!
Congratulations on your first listing. Looking forward to your blog post telling us that it is sold.
