Today is a big day, I've got an incredible plan that will revolutionize the way real estate is done!

First, I fired my broker, it was a great experience!   Imagine the shock on his face, oh it was sweet!  Then I abolished NAR.  Our receptionist is history, along with our admin specialists & office manager, they're toast!

The face of real estate is about to change.  People will now be able to sell their homes in a better way.  More money will find it's way into the sellers pocket and the Realtor's too.  It's about time we take from the rich brokers and give all that money to the poor Realtor, RIGHT?

This has been tried in many ways before but my plan will bring about change.  Law suits and hardships have been abundant, lives have been jeopardized even lost but that's ok.  The tried and true methods of real estate had their flaws so I have a plan for change!

Whether or not there has been a good experience for buyers and sellers is not nearly as important as the benefits received.  Safety and security is of no concern, it simply does not go along with my plan, we need change!  Get rid of your lockboxes and suprakeys!!!  Yippee!

Now I have experience in real estate, I've listed & sold homes, closed transactions for  folks.  That gives me credibility to be able to institute this great plan to change the way real estate is bought and sold in this country...IT'S REVOLUTIONARY!!!

Sound familiar???

Nuts, Crazy, The Twilight Zone, Bizarre, did any of those words cross your mind?  They cross mine every day!

Every established system has its pros & cons, however most have been established through trial and error and a tremendous amount of knowledge & experience.  Real estate practices may not always be within your comfort zone but they are designed basically for the good of all.

So what's my point?  Plans for "CHANGE" sound really good but if they are not established on a solid foundation from absolutely credible sources then they will absolutely destroy lives, corruption and chaos will ensue.

My greatest concerns for America come November 4th!

Will our men & women in uniform who have fought for freedom, lost their lives, shed their blood, be forced to abandon their goal because of a timeline?

Will terrorists view an incomplete, retreating army as weak thereby bringing terrorism to our great land again?

Does a Robinhood mentality cause economies to flourish or fall?

Consider seriously this supposed plan to "CHANGE".   There are far too many lives at stake to even consider this twilight zone prospect.

As a United States Air Force Veteran and as someone who lived through 911 while living in NY, I implore you to revisit all that is facing America today and reconsider your position before you vote.  Stop listening and being swayed by the fluff of inexperience and ridiculous "Change".   Your life and the lives of your loved ones depend on it!

Castellum Realty, Retreat is always weak and a state of defeat...did we learn anything from Vietnam, Desert Storm???  The retreat from Desert Storm is the very reason we are there again!  Not to mention the Clinton debacles!

Then again, they say that the definition of "crazy" is doing the same thing the same way over and over again.  "Change" isn't a problem when it is needed.  Even McCain claims he is for "change."  Regardless who you vote for in this election, it will be "change."  I will therefore embrace "change" and make sure it is the kind of change I want to see in this country.

Great post. I served when we ousted Noriega and forward the front lines in Saudi during Desert Storm. Yes there was blood shed to help those that hate us Americans, and yet, we are so complacent and ignorant; we are still paying others to kill us and our American ideals. Let us not forget the media circus and the "only" news "they" feel will boost their ratings.

Hmmmm.....change from what? Let us subsidize more housing, by dagnabit, close down the facilities incarcerating those being held for terrorism! THEY HAVE CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS!!! Huh? Ok, place them in those subsidized homes and let them invite their friends, ALL are welcome here in America. Come and receive FREE education, FREE healthcare, FREE SSI and welfare, FREE, FREE, FREE...FREE reign in our Great Nation. No pre-conditions, no worries, practice your religion, but do not mention God or wear a Christian symbol in a public place; and you can even burn our flag and refuse to say the Pledge of Allegiance, we are about "Change".

Come one, come all!!! Use OPM to start your business, buy a home, maximize, diversify, purchase limos, vacation homes, take your friends on that private jet of yours to exotic places; write it off as an expense. Oooops...I spent too much of the stockholders money and homeowners are foreclosing. Where is the money? I want to kep "MY" luxuries, help me Uncle Sam!!! How can the taxpayers help me keep my material belongings? Ahhh...give me a blank check from the US Treasury, "Trust Me", help me to "Change".

Tax breaks, headaches, Section 8, butt-aches from inflation, fairness, subsidies, welfare, more government, more "Change"? By golly, does anyone remember the Boston Tea Party? Oh, but I am supposed to be "Patriotic" and pay more taxes? Was I not patriotic enough for the deeds done and time served? I ask for nothing in return, and my wife is an immigrant and asks for nothing. We did not receive handouts or feel entitled to receive any. We know and understand that the only entitlement we have in our country is our civic duty to VOTE.

What happened to "our" America? Wealth, home-ownership,business, capitalism, free-trade, security, family values, freedom of religion, freedom alone was created by hard work. We as REALTORS know that, our business was created by hard work.

I like how America was created, no hand-outs, no entitlements, but hard work. The only "Change" we need in America is reform and accountability, not false hope and rhetoric. Just my weekly rant, or maybe just Straight Talk.

Thanks Sarah.

It's nice that political posts are now getting featured on Active Rain.

By inexperience and fluff, we're talking about a governor from a state with the same population of the very small "everybody knows everybody" Baltimore City, correct?

Herb- How old are you? DO you know any Latvians, Estonians, Lithuanians? The statement you made about Ronald Reagan is very ignorant and a slap in my heritage's face. I am first generation born American. My family fled Latvia with Stalin's killing rampage. FDR gave our country in a chess move to Stalin. Reagan freed our country. Our country, Latvia was the first country to regain their independence because of Reagan. There are photos of Reagan all over Latvia. We thank Reagan every day for the freedom he helped us get and the fall of the Iron curtain. History has already proved he was one of the greatest presidents to ever live.Katerina

Susan- You really had me going!

Check out the other Susan's blog post today, there is a link to what Obama's site would look like if he was President. It is funny but sad at the same time.

Change is what we need but not the change that is being touted by Obama. Nestor and I were just wondering what we would do because we would fall under his tax hikes that are already super high. Like the second highest in the world, and he wants to take more.

I wrote on a Washington Post blog that this is serious. That in the years we make 250,000 we will be, after all the different taxes that will be implemented, totalling , together, it would be 65% of the 250 - gone- out the door into worthless officials hands who do not know how to manage money.

The point to it is if you are a broker and you are in this situation, what do you do, do you work more? Or do you cut back. I said that I would cut back, lay off people, and then figure out a way to still bring in 125,000 which would put me in the lower tax bracket and I would keep more of my money.

When I made this point, trying to get people to understand that I am not RICH, ( I am rich, but you know what I mean) and that small businesses would just start shutting down, just like they did in the depression when FDR raised business taxes. You can't employ people.

This one guy commented back to me that he could not believe how selfish I was that I would even think of changing my business! I asked him, so how much of a check would he want from me each month! I still can not get over that comment! Just like Biden saying it is patriotic! We have really become a society of handouts and entitlements.

Now, all the government had to do was to lift the capital gains tax and lower business taxes, if they would do just those two things, and get rid of market to market valuation, they would not have needed the bail out bill because trillions of dollars would flood back into our markets from offshores.

You are so right, we all have to be out talking to those undecided voters. McCain is the only safe choice. Obama would push us into a socialism that US citizens have no idea about. The change that he wants is bigger government and more programs for special interests. Katerina

Katerina,  (I'm Sara...)  Great testimony about Ronald Reagan!  Isn't history supposed to reveal successes and failures of the past?  Raising taxes like that has always been a detriment to society!

Sara, You are my HERO!  Cannot wait to go see Palin.  I do not know if I can even sleep tonight.  Told the hubby I would work extra hard today.  So maybe I will crash.

THANKS FOR STANDING UP FOR WHAT YOU BELIEVE.

Sara ~  These days many people have a hard time finding their voice if they espouse conservative beliefs politically.  You did a good job sharing your thoughts and pointing things out in a manner we can understand.

Palin was here in PA and I missed her. She was also at one of our local eateries here in Philadelphia and I heard there was an Obama supporter heckling and was thrown out, heh, heh, heh...

I watched Huckabee's show last night and it was amazing to hear about the fair tax; tax what we consume and not our income. Yes it is true that we base our business models to compy with tax laws and not profitability. Then an amazing thing would happen to the economy, consumer spending would increase, lower unemployment rates, more affordable healthcare, and a wealth of surplus. I find it scary knowing the possibility of BO taking office, just where will my money go? I do know, overseas. If he gets elected, my wife and I are selling our home, packing our bags, and moving our family outside the United States.

Such a shame because I love my Country, but what will there be left to love? If Reagan knew how to tighten our belts, then why is it that Obama wants to spend more? I remember when Reagan took office, interest rates were 19+%, and there was the Middle East problem of that time; both solved. Carter followed the Community Redevelopment Act and Clinton reinstated it as The Community Reinvestment Act. Reaganomics increased the national surplus and Clinton benefited; Clinton's spending trickled into George W's terms.

My belief, hopefully I can give the American public the benefit of doubt, is that if more people decided to take the time and follow the past; they can benefit in the future, and make knowledgeable decisions.

Good post. The change that Obama wants to bring forth is scary and very dangerous. I am not sure he really has many of our best interests at heart. Lert's hope America wakes up and makes the right choce on November 4.
