I see no need for them.
I am as busy as I can be with my own propsecting and it is very successful. I have tried lead generators and for the most par the clinets were poorly informed of the market, had unrealistic expectations and were somewhere between just looking and buying in 18 months.
I do belong to Buffani and that is a cost so perhaps I just pay in another form... albeit a very successful (for me) system!
Patricia,
It all depends upon your market. Lead aggregators do not promise good leads, simply leads. I've tried HomeGain, Service Magic (realestate.com), House Values, and several other companies. I was getting 1-2 deals per year, which paid for the cost.
For the price, you could afford a very nice website with lead capture forms buit in. I don't want to plug any specific site, but there are several high end sites to choose from.
Hi, Patricia -
Who knows! I guess the bottom line is that there aren't any guarantees, and the quality of your follow-up will impact results. My best lead generation, other than the old-fashioned low-tech activities, have come from my current website. But again, it all boils down to what you do with those leads when you get them - and a little luck.
I signed up for that agentpoint as well and 2 months later not even a squeak from them or their lead generators. Very disappointed with them. I would like to hear from someone who has had luck with agentpoint and their pay as you go lead genorator systems.

VersaCom Technologies' Agent Point, formally known as ClearCom Media's Agent Select program does not work. It never has. They take your $48 (formally $49) fee per zip code and you will never recieve leads.
If you have a problem with the program call Bob at 561-688-6400....or heck...call him on his cellphone which is 561-201-5037
He should be careful how he handles employees. It all comes back around.
I, too, am wondering about AgentPoint. I was promised a 60 day money back guarantee, so I tried it. No leads. Now I am trying to get a refund before my 60 days and all phone numbers and including the website are disconnected. Any one have a suggestion?
AGENT POINT IS OUT OF BUSINESS
560 VILLAGE BLVD WEST PALM BEACH FLA CALLED LANDLORD SAYS THEY HAVE GONE THIS WAS ON 11/12/07
LUCKY I FOUND OUT IN TIME TO HAVE CREDIT CARD PAYMENT STOPPED FOR THE $48 GLAD I DID NOT GO FOR THE $399 DEAL HE WAS TRYING TO OFFER
It is always frustrating to see bogus lead generation companies take advantage of real estate professionals. My advice to real estate professionals is to talk with a client who uses the lead generation company. We generate tons of leads a month for real estate professionals across the nation. When new clients are skeptical of our services we always give them the phone number of one of our clients so they can personally talk with someone who uses our service.
Best of luch for you agents and your quest for real estate leads.
