13 years to the day after O.J. Simpson was acquitted of murdering his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman, this Hall of Fame former football superstar was unanimously convicted of kidnapping, armed robbery, and 10 other charges. Sentencing takes place on December 5th. There is a real possibility that O.J. Simpson could spend the rest of his life in prison.

If you are unfamiliar with O.J. Simpson's latest legal issues here is a summary. On September 13th at the Palms hotel in Las Vegas, O.J. Simpson and five other men burst into a hotel room occupied by sports memorabilia dealers Alfred Beardsley and Bruce Fromong. Brandishing guns, O.J. Simpson  and the five others rob the two men of sports memorabilia. When arrested later O.J. Simpson claimed that some, not all, of the sports memorabilia they stole actually belonged to him. Prosecutors said the ownership issues relating to the sports memorabilia were irrelevant to the crime O.J. Simpson and the others had committed; forcibly taking the items is a crime in itself.

O.J. Simpson and one of his codefendents were convicted on all charges. In Nevada, kidnapping is punishable by five years to life in prison. Armed robbery carries a mandatory sentence of at least two years in prison, and could bring as much as 30 years. Two of the other four men, Charles Cashmore and Walter Alexander agreed to plea deals in return for giving evidence against O.J. Simpson and Charles Stewart. Another man, Michael McClinton also agreed to plead guilty to robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery in exchange for giving evidence against O.J. Simpson and Charles Stewart. Charles Ehrlich also took a plea deal, admitting attempted accessory to robbery and attempted burglary and agreeing to give evidence against O.J. Simpson and Charles Stewart.

Both O.J. Simpson and Charles Stewart's lawyers plan on filing appeals. Both men were immediately taken into custody. Despite the judge's direct instruction to the jurors to put the 1995 O.J. Simpson case aside, O.J. 's lawyer, Yale Galanter said he believed the jury had an agenda.

Can you say Karma.. Go ahead and Say it Karma..that's right what comes around goes around, and there will be no golf courses where OJ is going..just a scary men's club with low entry standards.

I believe "The Juice" got what was coming to him. I hope in December when the Judge has the sentencing, he throws the book at him. I'm sure the Goldmans are quite happy too.

I wonder why O.J. was thinking when he went to that Vegas Hotel room ..... Obviously he wasn't.

Lewis - You are not alone in your thinking.

Steve - Lets all sing along with John --->>> CLICK HERE

Sean - If some of that memorabilia was his, he could have simply called the police like most people would do.

Richard - Life is very interesting.

Rich, I always thought OJ thought he was untouchable; I guess he lost his "dream team."  Still he's had all that time to live well and outside of prison which is a shame.  I hope this brings some measure of peace to the families.....

Rich, it just goes to show that no one is above the law or untouchable; no matter how famous or wealthy. I'm glad that his arrogance did him in and at least this time no one died.

Carole - I too think he (and many high profile personalities) thought the laws that apply to the rest of us were different for him. Though he was found not guilty in a court of law, the truth can't be hidden from the universe which always balances itself.

Lara - You are on point. We have been seeing several high profile people fall each year for the past several years now. It is a sad commentary on the disconnect from reality many of them feel.

I don't think this could have happened to a better guy!  Seriously though if people are going to take the law into their own hands becareful what you get!  He deserves everything he gets.

Rich ~ I think that this is a really sad story. The Juice was once a great football player that has done nothing but shame himself and those around him for the last 15 years.

Ted - I agree, we have law enforcement to enforce the law. Karma helps a bit too!

Ryan - It is a sad commentary. Most people never reach higher heights than he did, nor lower lows.

Hey Rich, I bet the Goldmans are feeling bitter sweet about this. All I can say is "It's about time." Where he is going he can practice putting on the glove again.

What a shame what OJ did with his life.  To have fame and fortune and waste it.  Such a shame!

Dan - Bitter sweet is probably about right.

April - It is a shame what he did to himself and worse what he did to his two victims.
