Get organized with a business card scanner ...

I have accumulated business cards in a carton box that need to be sorted and indexed. I estimate to spend at least 10 minutes per card trying to put them in an excel spreadsheet. Then my wife said to me why don't you scan a bunch of cards on your flatbed scanner and save them this way. I loved her idea and I did about 12 cards. As I was scanning I remembered viewing a TV AD during a hotel stay in Orlando Florida about a business card scanner and there I went to the CompUSA site and bought the Plustek OptiCard 610 Business Card Scanner . It was one of the smartest purchases I ever did. Now once per week I scan business cards to a CSV file.

George...same thing happened her!!!  I bought one years ago as I attended 3 or 4 trade show per year and it became impossible to update into a database.  Those card scanners are amazing!!!

My cards are starting to pile up, I guess I need to ask Santa to put one on my Christmas list.  Thanks for the tip.
