GET 3 MONTHS FREE TO TRY IT OUT!

Hi Guys

We have great news for ALL Inspectors, this means current Home Inspector Pro users as well as inspectors not using Home Inspector Pro. Inspectors currently using this service, swear by how it's improved their business with real estate agents and clients.

Previously our report upload service was limited to reports generated within Home Inspector Pro. We've now created a separate program which allows ANY PDF to be uploaded via our report service. This means that if you're using another inspection software program, or Microsoft Word, you can generate a PDF then use our service. If you're currently using Home Inspector Pro, this means you can merge your Home Inspector Pro report with your radon, WDI and any other documents and then upload them. You can also upload your client contract, being notified the second the client opens it.

Non Home Inspector Pro Software users have 3 months FREE to try out the service. Since Home Inspector Pro users have already had 3 months free to try out the upload service, we're extending them all another free month. If you are currently paying for our report upload service, this is just an additional way to upload your report, it's not a separate cost. After the trial is up, it'll be $20 a month, or $200 a year (save $40). As always, there's no automatic charging, you choose to sign up after the trial is over.

10 Comments on New Report Upload Service For Use With Any Inspection Software & Free 3 Month Trial

I use this upload service and LOVE IT!!!  As an inspector, this gives me more redundancy and allows me to view my reports from any computer.  Here's another perk for me the inspector--I was in a pinch, couldn't send a report to a Realtor because my Internet was down for the day.  I picked up the phone and called Dominic (developer and owner of Home Inspector Pro and the download service).  I asked Dominic to forward the reports I needed to go.  Because I've used this upload service, Dominic had access to my files, sent my files, and saved the day!  Thanks Dominic!

If you don't have this capability, you should.  Try it for the three months--it's FREE!  What better price than this?  Don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions, but here's yet another in feather in Dominic's cap--his customer service is incredible!  I've NEVER seen anything like it!

I'm a Home Inspector Pro user, software and upload service.  I also have my web site hosted with Home Inspector Pro (HIP) .  If you're not a HIP user, consider it.  If you're dead set against switching to a new, updated and state of art reporting software program, then try the upload service.

Again, contact me if you have questions, but Dominic is always reachable.

How many reports can be uploaded and how long do they stay on the server? How many Mb are available to an inspector? I currently have 250 GB on my server, is that available?

Hi Fritz,

The files are stored for 5 years which is required by law in most areas. We haven't applied a storage limit but the files need to be inspection related, i.e. contracts, radon reports, wdi reports, actual home inspection report. It's not meant to be a backup of everything on your computer.

The average 30-40 page report with 40 pictures using our software is about 1.5 megs (our reports are highly optimized without compromising picture quality). Because of this we've estimated that the average inspector will use about 5-10 gigs of storage over a 5 year period. These are all dedicated servers that we have so they're expensive to run. The max file limit it currently set to 20 megs. If we have users hitting that limit then we'll re-evaluate that. Currently I've seen a 100 page, 300 photo report using our software and it was only 8 megs so we're hoping other software out there isn't creating 20 meg reports.

This is more than just simple storage though. You get email notification when the client and agent view the report. Your agents can view all reports done for them (big marketing perk). Clients can pay via credit card for the inspections and soon we will have a force view before pay feature.

If you have 250 GB HD on a dedicated web server you're paying at least $125-$150 a month for it. If you're on a shared server you're at the mercy of the hundreds of other sites stored on the server and any hacks that might be implemented on it.

Hey Frank,

That does make more sense. Go ahead and give the service a try. It's free. And like Greg and quite a few other guys will tell you here we're extremely straight forward with everyone. As far as I know for example, we're the only software company where you can view our message board before becoming a member. We want people to see what's going on.

We don't take any payment information from you when you sign up for the trial. Towards the end of the 3 months of the upload service (or the 3 month trial of our website hosting as well) we email you and ask if you want to continue to use the service.

If you have any more questions, let me know.

Wow

I have been using this service for a few weeks now and love the speed on this baby.

Dominic you are a genius.

I am glad you keep these files for five years as it is required to keep my files five years by state law.

Now I can add all sorts of extra files to my reports and even send special reports that are not generated from your software.

This is a totally separate software and with Xbox and other online storage sites coming and going out of business it is nice to have a safe secure place I can rely on .

I like said that Dominic at Home inspector Pro is man who stands by his product. He always returns my call when I leave V/M. The software is great 128 bit security so no one can alter the report after it is completed. Thank you Dominic.

Sounds like a pretty good service, but I use Porter Valley Software, and Lorne includes this service for no charge. It would be a great deal if someone didn't already have access to a server.

Bob, Erol, Frank, thanks for the kind words :)

Jack,

There's no comparison between PVS upload service and ours. They are two totally different services. First, you are paying for it as part of your yearly support fee (we don't charge yearly support for our software). But this is a marketing tools as much as a report service.

Some differences.

1. Clients never have to put in a password.

2. You get an email when the client or agent view the reprot

3. Reports are stored for 5 years.

4. Agents can log in and view all reports you have done for them. They dont have to print them or store them in their email (this is a big marketing tool to many agents).

5. You can access all your reports, agent info, client info, etc for 5 years on one page.

6. Will soon be integrated into credit card processing where the client has to pay before the report can be viewed.

There's quite a bit more, try it out if you get a chance.
