A Trip to Six Flags Great Adventure

By
Real Estate Agent with Better Homes and Gardens Rand Realty

Yesterday we went to Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, NJ to watch The Dance Diamond perform at the annual Fall Dance Fest.  The Great Adventure Park was all dressed up for Halloween and it's annual Fright Fest.

We arrived and took some family shots by the fountain of "blood"  You will notice how much weight we have lost since summer, LOL

Welcome font

more shots by fountain

The entrance to the merry go round was a bit frightening too.

Merry Go Round

Was this a sign of things to come?

Sign above entrance

This was not the kind of ride we were looking for

Limo

It wasn't all scary.  Here's Taz all dressed for trick or treat

 Trick or taz

And of course there were roller coasters (and NO I DID NOT RIDE ONE)
This is EL Toro, my favorite to look at because it is an old time wooden coaster.  I think they are beautiful.

El Toro

El Toro again

We did have a great time.  I will post the dance pictures later.

Good bye

Becky, you should go sometime.  It only takes about 2 -3 hours and it is worth the trip if youlike coasters.

I think the old time wooden coasters are amazing Charles.  Thanks for stopping by.

Looks like a lot of fun...I love roller coasters...my parents used to take us to Cedar Point every year growing up and I didn't live so far away now I would still go every year.

Paddy, I LOVED seeing these pictures!!  I used to go to Six Flags but it's been a long time.  My daughter absolutely loves it and makes it a point to get there every summer....I'll be sending your post along for her to see!

Hey Paddy - I Almost forgot - great shot of the rollercoaster!   There are only TWO rollercoasters that I 'do'.    The Runaway Train - at Great Adventure (I doubt it is still there - it was very mild compared to the new ones, lol)   and... the JetStar on the amusement pier at Seaside Heights!  The view of the ocean from the rollercoaster was the best---like you were gonna go flying off and into the water!)     Have a great day :)

Hi Jersey Girl Kara - It's funny how that commercial is stuck in our minds forever.  Believe it or not Runaway Train is still there.  As for the rocket into the ocean at Seaside it makes me sick just thinking about it.  I admit to chickenhood!!!!

Paddy - the pics are fab!  Looks like you all had a wonderful time.  I have to admit though, while I do like roller coasters, that one looks extremely scary!

OMG - that is cool that the runaway train is still there!   I took my first 'video' with my camera over the weekend--- try that next time when the girls are performing!  It was pretty easy to upload it to you tube.

No Mike.  My feet are firmly planted on the ground for this one.  I have tried and I can't stand the feeling of falling.  They enjoy it though.

I would go on a Saturday Lisa.  Sunday seemed to be more crowded when we went other years for some reason.
