Chris,

I would think for the rent I pay here that it would include snow removal but NOPE.  It's part of my "job" every winter since I moved to this darn snowbelt.  I actually don't mind it (driveways only like 4 truck lengths long) except for those days when it just won"t stop and the snow gets so heavy.  That's the days I flag my neighbor down (that has a plow business) and he whips in and is done in 5 minutes.  He won't let me pay him, just a bottle of Jack Daniels at Xmas.  *LOL* Pretty cheap, cuz last year he plowed like 20 times.  He says it would be un neighborly to charge me, he's a good ole hillbilly guy.  *lol*

We are lucky we dont have to shovel snow when we get home!

NJ- Your lucky, I don't like to many of my neighbors (or JD) enough to do that for them lol... most of them have 4-wheelers w/ plows or plow trucks too just because of where we live... most of the time my street plows itself out because its usually a couple days before the city comes through after a big storm lol.

Raylene- Atleast we don't have to worry about beautiful sunshine year round up here like you do in TX... oh wait thats not really a good thing lol

Hey Chris,

We're getting ready for the snow - Farmer's Almanac says to expect more than we had last year (OOHHH NNNOOOO!!!!)

12:21am • #10

NJ- Yup I am ready :-)... I haven't had much time for blogging lately anyways lol Besides working, we are trying to get everything ready for my sisters baby shower next weekend, my best friend's gf just had their baby boy on Monday :-D

9:19am • #11

Laurie- Yeah I have heard that we should expect quite a bit more than last year, and we got quite a bit of snow here last winter.

9:22am • #12

Chris,

Awwwwww....... I love babies!!!! As long as they take them home when I'm done playing. *lol*  I certainly hope we don't get more snow here than last year, my car is not the best in it.  Last winter, I didn't have to drive in it but this year I do and I hate it. Maybe it's the other idiot drivers I hate, dunno. Even in the snow people have to be rude drivers here.

NJ- The Farmers Almanac is predicting quite a bit of snow for the Great Lakes region. My truck does pretty good in it but I honestly am not a big fan of the stuff either. But not because I have to drive in it (because like I said my truck handles it pretty good lol) but because others have to drive in it and your right there are alot of "rude" drivers even when the roads are really bad.

Chris,

There are such rude drivers here in NE Ohio, rain, sun or snow.  I've never seen anything like it, well except in Los Angeles at rush hour!!!!  I'm not a light jumper and I get honked at and flipped off all the time because I'm not moving the instant the light turns green.  Route 20 here has more accidents per mile than any other in the U.S.  I see them everyday and it's always those that are in a hurry to get home 2 minutes earlier.  I'd rather get home alive myself.  In the snow it's much worse though, like I said, last year I didn't have to go out much in the snow but this year I'll be on the road everyday.  I'm actually considering getting a small apartment where I have to drive to everyday. It might cost me abit but think of all the stress I could be relieved of?  :-)

NJ- They are talking a possible 6+ inches in the U.P (top part of MI lol) this weekend, and my area has a 40% chance of snow Monday and snow is also possible Tuesday as well. Its been a while since I remember hearing talks of snow in October w/ the weather reports. It is supposed to be a high of 45 both days so it won't last if it does snow, but still.... I think its going to be a bad one this winter :-(.

NJ- Yeah we had the same thing happen here, and they are calling for rain & snow this weekend.

Chris,

This weekend? Darn, today started out nice, 71 and then the rain blew in around 4.  Dropped the temp 20 degrees in nothing flat.  I just know I gonna wake up to huge snow drifts one morning soon and I'll be crying cuz I HATE driving around with all the idiots here in it.

NJ- I still almost can't believe you guys already have 10" on the ground already. That's just crazy lol We were in the upper 60's this week, but we still haven't seen the snow other than small flakes here and there that haven't stuck around long enough to acculimate, + our ground is still fairly warm which helps melt the small stuff quick. Yeah I don't blame you, I'm not the fondest of driving in the stuff either because of all the people (especially kids) that don't know how to drive in it. But, unlike you I have a big 4x4 so it helps keep me on the road pretty good lol

Donna- Same here, but they are calling for rain & snow tonight and tomorrow. Yeah I am sure the big snows are on their way too, can't wait to see what Decemeber-Feb has in store for us :-\
