BPO! Update-More orders arrived but disappeared!!

By
Education & Training

This past week I received 3 BPO orders from Protek and each one of them disappeared just as quickly as I received them.  The first one I didn't discover for 20 minutes and it went to another vendor. The second one I missed by a mere 7 minutes and the last one I missed by 2 minutes.  How does anyone ever get one of these orders?  Do vendors sit and watch their screens, keeping their e-mail open 24hrs a day?  If I don't capture one of these orders, is it assumed by Protek that I don't want the job?  With this new week I plan to do just this: stay in view of my e-mail, my account at Protek, and my cell phone and see if I can grab one.  Anyone else have this problem?

Just a thought...how about setting up your email to forward to your cell phone/PDA so you dont have to sit by your computer waiting for incoming orders.

I'd bet Leonard's suggestion is how other agents are snatching them up so quickly.

But depending on how many e-mails you get you may want to set a special e-mail address for the BPO's and have that one only forwarded to your cell phone/PDA.

Or, when you sign up use your cell text address, should look something like this 9095551234@mms.att.net, I use AT&T but I'm sure it works with all MMS capable phone plans.

Hi Robert,

I know your frustration, but I'll also let you in on a HUGE almost unknown secret about good ole Proteck. They have a way to log into their website and look for more work that is just sitting in their queue. Many companies also offer this. I bet that you are being beat out by people simply logging into Proteck at different times throughout the day (they may have it down to a science, or use automation software that uses a task scheduler to out accept BPO orders for them) and click to see if there are new orders sitting there that are ripe for the picking. I love this feature!

Plus, you should know that Proteck has their email notification system set up in a way that you will still be notified of new orders that have been accepted by someone else long before you got an email alert from them. I guess they don't mind frustrating people with this, Landam if notorious for this too as well as a few others.

Now you know the secret, I hope you put it to good use!

 Best wishes,
