Cedar Key, Florida - A Great Get-Away

By
Real Estate Agent with Celtic Realty

Last week was a tough one for me.  I had been blogging about it on Acitive Rain and got lots of support from my fellow Active Rainers, but I really needed a time to reflect, not listen to the news and just plain veg-out.  Last year we visitited Cedar Key and had a delightful weekend.  It sure was reassuring to re-visit this year and realize that not much has changed over the last year at Cedar Key.  They got a new pier, and it has a simple, uncomplicated feel, like the rest of the sleepy little town does.  There are a few waterfront, authentic restaurants without the typical tourist fluff.  Just locals and hometown folks.  Cedar Key is, was and probably always be a unique fishing village, located about 25 miles off the mainland of the Gulf Coast of Florida.  Needless to say, the sunsets are fantastic!!  Cedar Key is a terrific place to relax, reflect and just enjoy!!

Pat, I must agree with you, Cedar Key, when my wife and I visited, was probably the most relaxing getaway we ever had; we need to get back there.
