IT'S TIME FOR HOME OWNERS TO DO THE FALL PLANTING TO SPRUCE UP THE LANDSCAPING FOLLOWING THE HOT SUMMER.

Imagine.  Grass that had to be trimmed only once a year.

Landscaping is about ready to go dormant for the winder.  However, this is a great time to plant hardy perinnials.  You'll love seeing these plants come to life next spring.  Many yards and landscaping plans will benefit from the addition of decorative grasses.  I love them and have them throughout my landscaping plans.  Some are borders.  Some are accent plants.  I have a few to shield the Heat Pump from view.  No matter where they grow, they are beautiful, restful and so, so easy to grow and maintain.  You don't have to do a thing but enjoy the beauty throughout the year, feed it a time or two and cut back in the fall.

Love the Living Lace!  (say that 5 times fast.)  The right landscaping can add so much character and dimension to an otherwise "flat" piece of property.

Lenn...

I like using grasses is the landscape, but the wife is not too keen on them, so I limit myself to a few annual varieties every year. Nice slide show!

Richard.  I love them.  I am in danger of overdoing.  I don't care.

Very nice. I've got some in the front, around the well, and around the pool. I just finished repairing my grass by aerating, overseeding, and filling in spots with top soil. I love yard work.

Can't say I love yard work, but I love my yard.

Very nice yard Lenn.  I've spent the last 3 weekends trying to move mine from embarassing to acceptable.  I'm still a long way from anything resembling respectable though.

Erik.  Thanks.  My yard is very informal, like me.  I love the spring blossome, but this time of the year it's grasses or mums and I decided to pass on the mums this year.

Lenn, grass that has to only be trimed once a year sounds like my kind of grass, and probably looks better than paving the whole back yard :)

I used to work in the yard a little, and eventually started to move from annuals to perennials. If you do your own layouts, then you are truly talented.

It was hard for me to picture what and where.

Beautiful landscaping. Shows a true love.

Richard

Richard.  Wait until you see my next project.  I'll get before and after photos.  I have a barren corner next to the driveway.  I'm planning to put perennials in there shortly as soon as I can get it dug up.  I had Zinnias in there this year and mums in there last year, but the spot needs to be turned deeper.  It's my fall project.

George.  I'm not much for paving.  I love river rock, mulch, stone and other natural ground covers.

Lenn - You have to love decorative grasses they can occupy a small space as a decorative item or a large space as a border ... we share your love of grasses as we use them extensivly in our landscaping.

Kathy.  Thanks.  I hadn't thought much about decorative grasses until I had a hill in front of my house to landscape.  They are wonderful.
