Over the period of 10/3-10/6 of 2008, we had 25 listings go to closing and 19 went pending. Not too bad for such a "slow" market! There are so many investment opportunities currently available including Waterfront homes and land at unbeliavable prices. Sellers are anxious, prices and mortgage rates are down, why wait for all to go back up again?

Gosh Smith Mountain Lake has changed over the years. I remember "ring weekend" at the lodge in 1973. It was a celebration of promotion for the VA Tech ROTC going from JR's to SR's. Long before the movie Dirty Dancing and all of the development!
