Foreclosure Overload

Foreclosures are adding up across a wide swath of Orange County, though ZIPs in the county's core are showing the highest concentration of foreclosures. They also happen to be where sub-prime lending was rampant during the housing boom. For Example, Santa Ana's 92701 had the highest concentration in the county in the second quarter, or roughly 23 foreclosures per 1,000 houses and combos. This map shows foreclosures per 1,000 homes in each ZIP from April to June.

You should do a post on what you think will happen with the banks being eagar or not eagar now that they have an insurance policy to help them along.

Just an idea. I would think it would really affect your market

That is a lot of foreclosures. Where are people going? Is there a strong rental market?

We are seeing so many go through Title. I thought we had a lot 6 months ago but we were not done by any means.

Wow, that is alot, We are going very similar in Phoenix, with no end in sight, at this point many of the foreclosures are not by lack of funds but rather as a logical decision to stop paying on something that is so devalued. Hope to have better luck soon.
