Doom and gloom is all you hear in the news these past few weeks.  Just a while ago I read of a father and husband that took killed his family and then himself because of financial worries, http://www.dailynews.com/ci_10651501?source=rss. Thousands of families are in distress and this market will soon change.  The truth is that we see cycles like this throughout our history and we have recovered from each one.  Let's focus on what we have and not what we don't have. Please call someone before it gets so bad that you think taking your life is your only option.  Money isn't everything but life is.

I myself have struggled in life and am still struggling today. Life keeps throwing me curve balls but I am still in the game.  I've turned to the Bible and many other books to guide me. I am not a counselor and can't suggest any one fix for these turbulent times but I can offer an ear if anyone should need somebody to listen. I also want to offer some websites that I have found to be helpful.

http://www.save.org

http://www.getgreencredit.com (I can help w/ this company)

http://www.usccb.org/nab/today.shtml

If anyone has additional sites please add them in the comments section and I'll update this blog.

Have a blessed day and remember the past is the past and we can only learn from it.

This is what keeps me going.

Mario~ There is always someone worse off than we think we are and we just have to remember, This Too Shall Pass.... We also have to remember to reach out to those in need, by offering our time and attention to them!   Beautiful family!

You are absolutely right. Unfortunately, bad news sells and our elected officials will at times exploit bad news to their advantage. It will take a growing number of positive thinkers like you to overcome
the current angst.

Mario, I have come to the conclusion that the news is made to sell advertising, not to inform. Notice that reports about sickness have a pharmaceutical sponsor and crime a home security company. No thanks I'd rather read AR...

Katie...Thank you for the compliment on the kids. Luckily pictures can't show how loud they can be in the car :)

Bill...So true. I try to take some time everyday just to meditate and reflect on my day.

Vickie...I was going through my divorce when 9/11 happened and it made me realize that my problems were nothing in the grand scope of things.

CoBa REMS...I always try to read and listen to different news sources because it just seems that we have to seek the truth instead of just believing what is fed to us.

Paul...I knew that most news is negative because they need ratings but I never noticed what sponsors come on after different segments.  I'm going to start looking for that now. Thanks.
