Ok stop listening to the Media already and ask someone, like me, that works in the Tampa Bay Real Estate and Mortgage Industry daily, what the heck is going on right now with money and where can I get a mortgage for less money down?
I got a call today from a prospective client that is a TPD officer (Tampa Police Department) and he had went to his local bank and they told him he needed about $15,000 at closing to buy a $200,000 house. This is simply NOT true!
As we continued to talk, I explained how we work, and what make me a different than his local bank, and other mortgage 'hacks' he may have encountered in the past. What always surprises me is that he did not know that BUYERS NEVER PAY me directly for my Home Consulting Services! I MAKE my money when we arrange, package, and deliver 'ready to sell' loans to the lender that may or may not sell it on the secondary market or keep that loan for servicing.
WHAT MOST also do not realize is that ANY lender has the RIGHT to sell your mortgage loan on the secondary market. Yes, even YOUR BANK very well may SELL your loan, and that little provision in the mortgage allows them to do just that! If you don't sign the mortgage, you don't get the money, PERIOD!
