Cochella Valley's Worldmark Resort - Full Review - 10-6-08 - With Pictures

These two pictures were taken from our room balcony at around 8:00 a.m. 10-6-08.

 

 

 Indio is a fun and fast-growing city in the Cochella Valley.  Also called the "City of Festivals".  And also Host to the National Date Festival & Riverside County Fair & the International Salsa Festival.

  This membership only, resort is full of pools, pools and more pools. There is even a Lazy River pool that you can float around in an inner-tube.

 

 

 I would highly recommend this resort for it's relaxing environment and poolside appeal. Plus, there are duck ponds and babbling brooks everywhere.

 

 

 Although I have been to several of the others Worldmark resorts, I have never visited this one. This one is only 18 months old so the newness is still present.

 

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very spacious and amenities include:

  • Spa with full staff for massage, facials, etc.
  • Large work out room with really nice equipment
  • Dominos pizza is on site and open until 10:00 p.m.
  • Grocery store and gift shop
  • 18 hole golf course
  • Upper-scale restaurant overlooking golf course.

 The only thing that I could have used was a Nike store, or even a big 5 sporting good store.  I forgot my running shoes and all they had in the golf pro shop were these funky looking golf things that I would not have been caught dead in.

Casinos: There are also two Casinos.

The closest is the "Fantasy Springs Resort and Casino". Also nearby is the "Agua Caliente Resort and Spa". Nearby attractions:

  • Balloon Rides
  • Horse-back Riding
  • Camel Rides
  • The skyway tram which goes up to an 8500 scenic view of the entire area.

Now if you were over in Indio at a Members Only resort and not working in Temecula, then you probably have some business secrets that you should be sharing with our membership here. Perhaps? LOL

I've been on the tram so many times I can't even count them anymore. I've been known to drive the motorcycle over there just to go on the tram and then head on back.

Jane - Kenny (hubby) and I are Worldmark owners too.  We stayed at the Worldmark resort in Sonoma Valley earlier this year and had a wonderful time.  It was the first time we had ever been to the wine country and we had so much fun that we want to go back again soon.  Two years ago, we stayed in another one in Canada and it was great too.  Love Worldmark, so glad we became owners.

Rich - Hey they actually could!

Teresa -My 15 year old is my youngest....so a sitter for one night is not a problem.  He can stay with my 18 year old.  This is a timeshare "Worldmark" and this location is only 90 minutes from out house.  We have been to Pismo Beach which is 6 hours away and Big Bear also. 

Elizabeth -Thank you, that is why I like timeshares it works for us because we don't get to take long vacations with three teenagers, 2 are mine(I have adopted one - will do a blog on that someday), and all of the animals.

Donne - Wow, don't you just love it!!!

Glen - I took these at 8:00 a.m. on Monday morning....pools open at 8:00 if you look in the one pool with the curve to it there actually is a lady in the far right of the screen.

Bill - We have been Trendwest owners for a long time, just never to this resort.

Liz - Yes it is Windmarks Trenwest and it is very nice....This one is only two years old.
