Dover, NH Goes Wireless!

Real Estate Sales Representative with Keller Williams Coastal Realty
Dover Goes Wireless Yes, the City of Dover has gone wireless!

The Dover Public Wireless Internet Access Project

The project was completed on August 28, 2008 A collaborative effort of Dover Main Street, Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce and the City of Dover. This project was funded by a State of New Hampshire Department of Economic Development Telecommunications grant and a Comcast technology grant.

As a result of this project, four City of Dover downtown locations now have wireless hot spot access available.
Cocheco Falls Millworks (100 Main Street)
Henry Law Park (6 Washington Street)
Transportation Center (33 Chestnut)
McConnell Center Grounds (61 Locust Street).
Prior to this wireless service  was, and still is, available at Dover Public Library and Dover Arena.

"This access, advertised as "DoverNet Public Wireless", is free of charge. Once connected to any of these hot spot locations, citizens and visitors will be directed to a splash screen to accept terms of service and then to the Dover Public Wireless Internet Access homepage, This collaborative effort was also aided by Spires Video Services, Windsor Brook Property Management, TrainRiders/Northeast and several other downtown organizations, and we thank them for their contribution."  ~Dover Chamber

One more effort by this wonderful community to bring  everything it can to residents and visitors.
